Coat Topshop (old) / Dress* PersunMall / Bag ASOS / Boots Office / Sunglasses RayBan

My first Autumn-y outfit post this year! As you can see, it was a beautiful day! The sun was shining, everything looked nice and calm, the trees were shades or orange and green… we couldn’t wait to go out for a walk after lunch. However, we drove to the park, got out of the car and the brisk cold was like a slap in the face! I certainly wasn’t ready for it and neither was Niki (photographer) who wasn’t wearing a coat, so we didn’t end up getting many photos at all. We usually do a few detail shots as well as some full lengths, but this session did not go as planned. I shivered, he shivered, we gave up! But check out the cheesy flare and glare we managed to get in these photos! Love it! Still, it ended up being a lovely afternoon. We got a take away hot chocolate and walked around the park. Just wished it was warmer!
I got this coat a couple of years ago, I love it so much, it’s just the right length and fit for me but it’s getting tatty now. Coats usually do, because it gets so much wear. I’m still on the search for a new Autumn coat but every one I try on is either too long or too big. My polka dot dress is from PersunMall, a company based in Hong Kong. It took about three weeks for the parcel to reach me but that’s about right. I’ve been to Hong Kong a few times with my family, and the clothes over there had never appealed to me, but there’s no denying that the sizes fit me better. People are shorter there, so the clothes tend to fit better and the sleeves are just the right length. I have my eye on a couple more things on Persunmall, I like this black dress. I already have a short sleeved version from Topshop, but I’d quite like one with long sleeves, and I know I won’t have to sew the hem up on it! Such a bonus when I don’t have to sew anything up! They don’t cater specifically to petite ladies but a lot of the dresses measure about 79cm-81cm in length which falls mid-thigh on me. So, if you’re petite too (5ft 3 or under) then I’d recommend checking PersunMall out!

  1. Your coat and dress look nice together. It's a pretty design of dress and I really like to collar detail. Your photographs still have their usual beautiful feel. And I say buy the black dress!

I feel cheated. It's been so warm and humid in London that I can barely keep a jacket on. I miss walking in frosty air and wearing full length coats.

  2. Ahh I'm gutted that coat is old because I want it! It's so lovely, looks great on you and I adore that print. The dress you're wearing is lovely too. Overall great outfit as usual, absolutely love your style. Eurgh talk about deceptive weather. I thought it was a nice day today and went shopping without a coat and what the hell, it's so cold!! Oh well, at least I get to layer up again. 🙂

  3. Sounds like it was still nice despite the cold. I love a good hot chocolate. 🙂 I love it when people actually make clothes for us shorter folk. I'm 5'3" too and there are some shops where just nothing works. *cough* River Island *cough*. I tend to find that for anything trouser-like I have the most problems but stick with good old marks and sparks instead.

  4. Your coat is the perfect autumn coat, pity it's old. I'd love to find something similar. Sounds like you had a lovely afternoon, the weather is so confusing right now.x

  5. So pretty *-* I love the outfit!
And the photos, OMG! They looked "enchanted" !
Please take care, have a nice day!*

  7. You look gorgeous as always! I really love your coat, I can never bare to throw coats away so I've amassed quite a collection as they're also one of my favourite things to buy! I actually bought this year's coat at the beginning of the year in the January sales. I hope you manage to find your perfect new coat soon – it's definitely getting chilly! I love the black dress you're lusting after, I'm the opposite to you and wishing it was longer because it would definitely be too short on me xx

  8. So lovely as ever Sarah! It hasn't got quite so cold here yet, the October air has just enough chill for that autumn feel but also enough warmth that a light coat or thicker jacket is fine for leaving the house. Your coat is super lovely, there's an updated version out in Miss Selfridge at the moment! Might have to snap that up! x

  9. Your outfit is so cute and i like the way you mixed patterns! I would love to dress more autumn-y, but the weather has been so hot where I live. It's still like summer! D:

  10. New follower! I love your coat and your blog!! 🙂

Random question, are you a fellow BBC by any chance?
