Dress* Choies (out of stock) / Bag* BritStitch (new site coming soon) / Watch ASOS / Sandals River Island / Sunglasses ASOS / Necklace* Nikki Lissoni

I have found a new spot to take outfit photos, where no one gawps and acts like they have never seen a camera before! It’s a massive park where people go for walks and picnic, and it’s so nice during a sunny day! On our day out at the park, I wore a smock dress. I have two smock dresses, this navy one which I wore to the beach (with a belt to give it more of a shape) and this baby blue one. I don’t like wearing tight clothes that cling on to you during summer so for me, smock dresses are kind of perfect for the warmer months. It’s more airy! I have to say though, it is not the most flattering style, hence why I put a belt on when I wore the navy blue dress. I can’t accessories the baby blue dress with a belt, it really doesn’t look at all, so I’ve left it as it is. They are comfortable but they do look like maternity wear, there’s just no shape to it at all.
The sleeves on this dress is three-quarter length bell sleeves but I cut the elastic out because they were really tight over my arms! I think I prefer the way the look now they have been removed (the elastic, not my arms…) It is a really short dress but I can just about pull this dress off what with being short person! (waaaah!)
I’ve had some major issues with blogger/blogspot this week. I have been unable to edit any posts which means I can’t write any posts and save them as a draft, because when I go back to it at a later date, the whole post will be blank! I am also not able to go back to any of my published posts and add links, labels, or edit my spelling mistakes. Has anyone been experiencing the same problems? I’m so anxious about it, I don’t like it when I don’t know how to fix something that is broken!

  1. Sorry to hear about your blogger issues, I haven't had that problem but hopefully it will sort itself out for you soon, if not maybe you can get in touch with blogger? 🙂 I really love the smock on you, the bell sleeves are so pretty, you were definitely right in taking out the elastic! I love the shade of purple on your nails too xx

  2. I love this dress! I have one similar and I know exactly what you mean about the fit, sometimes I love it and other days I'm unsure, haha. Love what you've done with the sleeves though, I'm tempted to do that myself now.
Hope you get the blogspot problem sorted soon, I had something similar a few months back but it seemed to just fix itself : )

  3. The dress is very delicate, in my opinion!!!
I like the new scenario, this park looks peaceful and gives your picture a relaxed effect thata I really like (has "relaxed effect" some sense?? I hope so!)

  4. You look so lovely in this style of dress, it doesn't look like maternity wear at all! I love wearing big floaty dresses too, so much comfier and cooler in summer weather. Unfortunately, I can't help with the blogger issue 🙁 hopefully you get it sorted soon!

  5. The setting looks lovely. Lucky you for finding it!

I haven't been having such problems with Blogger. I often have problems with comments though, although only when using my iPad… it seems to be an iPad specific problem…

  6. I love the relaxed look of smock dresses. This one looks gorgeous on you! The trouble you're having with blogger sounds so frustrating… I always get really annoyed when I can't figure out how to fix the computer glitches! Maybe someone really skilled in computers could take a look? Hope it's fixed soon 🙂

  7. I am simply in love with this outfit, and I know exactly what you mean about some smock dresses looking maternity'ish but this is perfect on you. I just sat watching your lovely style video! I do love a jolly good video and this is so nice to see your outfit come to life as well as seeing your boyfriend! Reminds me of my fella….pulling faces at the camera (he does get a little fed up sometimes of the constant need to document everything!). Ah the life of a bloggers boyfriend…that's a whole blog in itself really isn't it?
That Britstitch bag is such a brilliant size and fab colour!! hoping you had a great day xxxx

  8. i just wrote my comment on the wrong post.soz. I love the sleeve length and style, and the lovely soft blue. I'm satchel obsessed, and brit stitch do the perfect ones. cant wait to see your post. x

  9. I love every single thing about this outfit – the periwinkle blue goes so well with your pastel satchel and I love how your nails are such a bold purple! I can understand your issues with elasticated arms though, I hate feeling as though my arms are being strangled and it feels even worse moving about with elastic digging into your arms!

I've only had blogger for a few months but I haven't experienced any problems. Quite a lot of people are saying they have and now I'm worried the same will happen to me!!

P.S.- Say hello to Oscar for me, I love exotic shorthairs so much!

  10. I love this smock dress, it looks lovely on you! Also great video, so fun. I've been thinking about incorporating the odd vid into a post but haven't been organised enough yet 🙂 x

  11. This is the second Choies paisley dress I've spotted today and loved! It looks lovely on you, I like how oversized it is. Also, that Brit-Stitch bag is delicious.

Yay for finding a quiet spot to take snaps. Sometimes people can be so weird, they take photos of me having my photo taken. Haha!

  12. Your sunglasses are fantastic! The shape is so flattering on your face and would be on anyone's face, forreal. I'd love to add them to my collection!

  13. I love this smock dress. The print is beautiful and it looks so light and breezy on you. I have a new found love for smock dresses since being pregnant. They're one of the few items I can wear pre and post birth and whilst I can still fit into them without them being too short at the front I would rather spend my money on them than something that I can only wear for a few months.
