Glossybox July 2013* – £10 monthly subscription

You’ve got to give it to them! Glossybox sure keeps things exciting with their themed boxes! Opening the parcel and seeing the blue box makes a great change from the usual pink box, which is getting a bit bland now. I love how Glossybox often mixes things up a bit and it shows that they are working hard to stand out at a time when beauty sample boxes are here, there and everywhere!

In the July 2013 edition, we have a fairly full-looking box of contents. It’s very bad but this is how I judge how good the boxes are. Nothing more disappointing than opening a beauty box only to see a vial of perfume, two sachets of shampoo, an eyeliner pencil and a pot of bronzing powder. I’m not asking for 5 full size products but maybe one or two miniature versions, and this is what we have this month. Let’s admit it, we all prefer to get bigger samples than small little pots from luxe brands. I’m also not too bothered about the total value of all the samples, I just like the boxes to at least look a bit full.

In the Seaside Splash box, we got a full size bottle of Anatomicals cooling spray which costs an affordable £6.00, but I’m really pleased about it. It doesn’t set my make up like it claims to do but it is refreshing for hot days. I also got Alterna Haircare Tousled Texture Mist, Coola Organic SPF Face Tint, Pukka Ayurveda Radiance Serum and a bottle of Ciate nail polish, a brand that I’ve been obsessed with recently. All these products that I received in the July Glossybox fit the beach theme really well, and as you can see from my latest outfit post, I’ve been spending a staycation at the seaside so all these products have arrived at the perfect time!

  1. I think this box is great. There was no need for me to be worried about my birchbox the contents were totally different to yours and I was pleasently surprised 🙂 x

  2. I actually unsubscribed from Glossybox a while back, just because I didn't feel I was getting what I wanted for my money, but they seem to be really stepping up their game! I think I might have to resubscribe if I keep seeing such lovely boxes coming out!

  3. Apart from the contents of the box which are brilliant, the box itself this month is indeed wonderful and rich looking. Very appropriate for the time of the year. I love these boxes and use them for storing various things around the house.
