What is Malibutique? It is a play on the words Malibu and boutique, a promotional pop-up event hosted by Malibu Rum. It’s the ultimate beauty and style venue to get ready for a girls night out because they have teamed up with ASOS, Nails Inc and Toni&Guy, who are all on hand to do your hair and give you a manicure, and offer you style advice! More on that later on! Keep an eye out for the next Malibutique instalment, I’ll show you what there is to do inside. As well as all of that, there’s also a chance to try out one of their fruity cocktails! My favourite is the Ginger Bu which contains Elderflower and Ginger Ale, and of course, Malibu! All this is free, all you have to do is grab all your friends and get yourselves there! Here are the following dates for Malibutique this Summer: Westfield Stratford City (London) – 11th to 14th July, Birmingham Bull Ring – 25th to 28th July and Manchester Exchange Square – 23rd to 26th August.

I wish that Malibu were visiting cities further up north. Liverpool and Manchester are northern cities, but I’m even further up than that with both Liverpool and Manchester still three hours away from where I live. I know for a fact that the girls in Newcastle would absolutely LOVE Malibutique, it would go down a storm! Anyway, this year, I went to the one in Liverpool with a group of hens and had a great time, it was just the perfect way to spend the afternoon. We went there and some of them got their hair styled by the Toni&Guy teams whilst I got my nails painted at the Nails Inc manicure bar. Whilst we were “getting ready”, we were treated to a cocktail too! By the time we got back to the hotel, all we needed to do was get changed in to our outfits for the night and put our make up on. We had extra time to catch up at the hotel before heading in to town and throw some shapes on the dancefloor!
