Biker jacket ASOS / Top Topshop / Skirt H&M or this one for £14.99 / Bag* Florian London / Shoes Kurt Geiger – now only £29.99! / Sunglasses Rayban from Pretavoir

This is one of my outfit from the weekend before I headed home to the countryside to spend time with my family (and OSCAR!) My black jersey maxi skirt has gone for walkies so I have borrowed my sister’s. I have been wanting one of these sheer maxi skirts for ages and I’ve kept this one for almost a month, I kinda don’t want to give it back yet! I used to stay well away from any garments below the knee but I do like my maxis! I do admit that it is difficult to wear as I am below 5 ft 2 but there’s no reason why short petite ladies can’t get in on the maxi action! A simple but gorgeously decorated top like this one from Topshop will go nicely and if this skirt wasn’t sheer, I would wear my super tall platforms, this tricks people in thinking I’m tall (oh, who am I kidding!) On this occasion, I worked the whole outfit around the bag. You know when you have a “I really want to wear this but I’m not sure what it would go with” moment? I knew I wanted to wear the Florian bag so I just took it from there and what I’ve ended up wearing an outfit that isn’t my usual style. Stepping out of our comfort zone is always a good thing, even if it is, as some people would say, “just clothes”! An outfit like this always makes me feel more grown up.

My new leather bucket bag from Florian London is like a Mary Poppins bag, can fit so much in it! Unlike high street accessories, I don’t like to follow any colour trends when it comes to expensive, designer bags. I like to pick a safe option and for me, that’s usually black. Black goes with everything and it never goes out of style. This style of bag reminds me of the 90’s – a decade I look back on very fondly! With the tie-dye trends currently in strong presence on the high street, it’s nice to have a bit of the 90’s back in our lives, it was a good time! When I was younger, I had a backpack similar to this bucket bag – actually, I had a few – so I was determined to work it in to my style in present day. It is, of course, more chic than my little ol’ backpack. I’m confident that this Florian bag will last a long time, it’s extremely good quality. Like with most of my bags, I would be tempted to put my whole life in to it, I think this one can 100% withhold the strain though! You can view the latest range on the Florian website, they are really beautiful. I love bags, more so than shoes, I could spend all day browsing handbag shops! Bags don’t hurt and give you blisters!

  1. Oh my god Sarah, could you get any more perfect if you tried? You look absolutely bang-a-langin in this outfit, I'm really loving the top bun too!! I've joined you on the dark side now, dyed my hair dark yesterday, eek!

That bag is looooovely! I often find myself doing that when new items come. I don't care what I wear as long as it goes with this BELT or something tiny, haha! Reminds me, I need to buy sunglasses!

    Lorra love xx

  2. This suits you so well, I think maxi-skirts look great on short girls! I love this sheer one, it's gorgeous, and your bucket bag looks lovely, the details look really chic.

  3. Love this outfit, you look so chic! I will def be investing in a maxi skirt this spring/summer, they seem like a such an easy, cool piece to throw on.

I featured the gorgeous necklace I purchased from your shop in my most recent post 🙂

    Sarah x
