After recently tidying my room and re-organizing a few boxes, I came across a stash of candles. The ones that are in use are all scattered around my home but I didn’t realise I had so many new ones that are yet to burn.

Most of them were presents but I often like to pick up a candle or two when I’m shopping, whether this is at Ikea, a Yankee Candle stall, Primark, or even the Supermarket! The cute little heart shaped tea lights are from Sainsbury’s and is the scent of white fig and Patchouli, they come in a set of nine. It’s not like I need anymore candles but I was drawn in by the novelty of the shape! It was a little house-warming treat to myself! Even though I don’t actually burn them that often, usually only when I have people over and sometimes when I’m having a long bubble bath, but I love having candles all over the home!

The ice cream shaped candle is from Primark and it was only £2.00. I bought it on a whim as it was placed near the checkout! It doesn’t smell very strong and it makes a nice little decoration in my room, I am a fan of little kitschy things like that even though it doesn’t go with the rest of the decor!

My latest addition is a sweet little gift from Kiss-Air Candles, a new and independent company with a lovely range of handmade soy wax candles. The limited edition Wild Bluebell* is a new scent for Spring and consists of jasmine, freesia, orange blossom, milky peach notes, and a musky amber base. It’s a gorgeous floral fragrance, it’s like Summer in the countryside! I don’t like fragrances to be too sugary or sweet as the sickly smell can give me a headache but I love those kind of candles that transport you to a certain memory or reminisce about a particular location,

Yankee Candles usually do this very well. There’s a sweet little range on Kiss-Air including Cut Grass, Chocolate Cake, Soft Leather and more! Each of the tins burns up to 30 hours and retails at the price of £8.50. There’s also tea lights and wax melts available. Kiss-Air offers a candle club service where you can buy a membership and receive candles on a monthly basis! This is a pretty great idea for those who are obsessed with candles (like me!)

  1. I'm a candle fiend, my poor other half won't know what hit him when we move in together! I love having them around the house, they create such a nice atmosphere. You have a very impressive collection!

  3. I never would have thought it possible to lust after a candle collection of all things. I have none in the house at the moment and it saddens me! Love the sound of the Toasted Marshmallow and Wild Bluebell ones x

  4. I'm so predictable, sometimes it makes even me shake my head – as soon as your blog loaded, my eyes immediately zoomed in on your Jelly Belly Toasted Marshmallow candle. If it's candy-scented, I'm all over it 🙂 I had no idea that Jelly Belly made candles, but I am officially googling where I can get one… or several 😉
