The Ultimate Chocolate Indulgence – New range of treats for Easter!
These blog posts are always fun to do! What’s not to like? Chocolate? Gooooood! Doughnuts? Goooood!! As usual, I was like a kid on Christmas morning when the courier arrived at my door and I greeted him with simply “OH, DOUGHNUTS!!!”
Actually, it is a good job I’ve got all those skin care products that I’ve been reviewing lately, because I sure do need it to rescue my face after stuffing these rich chocolate treats down! If I break out, it’s certainly not because of a change of new facial routine, it is from over indulging on delicious snacks like these doughnuts but come on, who is going to resist! They look attractive in very single way and I couldn’t help but dive right in. The range of doughnuts called Choco Mania from Krispy Kreme is new for Easter and consists of White Chocolate and Almond Praline, Cookie Crunch, Chocolate Praline Fudge Cake, Chocolate Dreamcake.
My favourite from Choco Mania is definitely Cookie Crunch. I didn’t think I’d like it because it isn’t the best looking thing. Some of you may know, that I have a strange phobia of pot plants and the Cookie Crunch doughnut reminded me of compost. (Great, I think I’ve just manage to put myself off it. ….Nope, not possible!). But stupid phobias aside , if you’re a sweet tooth chocoholic, you must try this one! The base is a classic glazed doughnut with a thin layer of chocolate icing topped with a generous scatter of chocolate cookie and dusted with icing sugar. It really is as good as it sounds! I also recommend the White Choc and Almond Praline which is a new addition to the Krispy Kreme range. The filling taste a little like coffee, I didn’t taste much of the almond. After a couple of days of eating chocolate/icing/praline doughnuts, I’m off to eat a bowl of strawberries and carrot sticks now.
