Ever since I got my stripy shirt and seeing monochrome stripes all over the shops, I have been wanting to put this post together for a few weeks now. I mentioned a while ago that I want to do more trend related or shopping guide blogposts. I think this blog needs to be more varied and have lots of different content other than “What I Wore” which I’m beginning to get a bit jaded by as of late – blame the cold weather, it has made me very lazy. I have been alternating between my favourite Primark knits recently! Pretty boring, really! I’ve been doing plenty of virtual window shopping and checking out what the trends are. I’m not a hardcore follower of fashion trends but I do get quite obsessed with categorizing or archiving things in to a certain pattern and colour which is great for when I’m putting these trend posts together as I love making things look organized, cohesive and neat! That’s probably why I like Pinterest! I’ve actually purchased a few things here as I’ve been set a challenge on how to style bold stripes (more about this next week) so let’s see if I can pull off the black and white stripey look without looking like a burgular!

I LOVE stripes (as proven by my 8 million stripy tops) but am strangely wary of bold black and white stripes- I think I'm also scared of looking like Burglar Bill or Beetlejuice!! Looking forward to your how-to-style post 🙂

Zara is also worth of a check for monochrome striped clothes. There is a lot of black and white in the new spring/summer -collection, with some really good pieces. 🙂 Especially there is really cool clothes in the basic section but in TRF there is also a good selection of monochrome stripes with some neon yellow highlights. 🙂
