Narcissist* by Estee Lauder – 9ml – £14.50

A few of weeks a go, I blogged about the release of Estee Lauder’s Heavy Petals collection and it particularly caught my eye because it matched the colour scheme of my blog. As soon as I saw it, it was love at first sight! It was snowing at the time so seeing the pastel colours, even if it was only on a computer screen, made me feel excited for Spring, my favourite time of year!
I got the chance to try the nail lacquers and the one I’ve been wearing all week is Narcissist which is a lovely shade of candy pink. As far pinks goes, this is a really pretty and vibrant colour. Many of the pinks I have got in my collection are sheer or quite light. The bottle costs £14.50 but when it comes to these things, us ladies like to splurge now and then. As with most premium brands, this polish is every bit of the luxury you would expect. It comes packaged in a navy box with gold branding and individually wrapped in cellophane which is nice if this product is purchased as a gift. I love the look of the bottle design too, it’s like an ice cube, really solid glass with the polish liquid packed inside it. The formula itself applies on smooth and streak-free. Sometimes when a colour is pastel or quite light, it’s easy to for it to go on the nail a bit streaky but this one was easy to achieve that bold and tidy application. Two coats made the colour opaque enough to “pop” and it is already very glossy without an extra shiny top coat. It dried fairly quick too which is great for someone as impatient as me. I’ve had this polish on for almost a week now and it hasn’t chipped or peeled off yet. I am actually really impressed with it’s staying power because as most you know, due to budget, I usually tend to go for drugstore brands when it comes to nail polishes but as the saying goes… you get what you pay for.

  1. Love that pastel pink and the fact that it can be applied without streaking is a big bonus – you're right about these kind of colours sometimes being tricky to handle. Hope you're well, have a lovely evening xo

  2. These looks really lovely but the price is just too much to treat myself haha! But if they last a week for you I'm intrigued – I got some Boots points to spend haha!

Speaking of you get what you pay for I have this 17 nail polish and it lasts for like 5 days without chipping which surprised me! I have other 17 nail polishes and they chip within a day. I don't know if it's cause of that particular shade or not :s

  3. I'm not a big fan of pastel nail polishes, but i really enjoyed your blog post. Somehow i always smile when i come here. Thanks for the atmosphere 🙂
