Dress* Free People / Necklace T:S /  Bag Mulberry

This white dress from Free People is one that I try to pass off as “daywear” and even though a bodycon dress is something usually reserved for clubbing and parties, I definitely feel much more comfortable wearing this one in the day time with my ASOS leather biker jacket. I tried it on with a blazer and although I like the monochrome look, it just didn’t feel right. I’d probably style it with lots of layered necklaces next time. This outfit is really lacking some jewellery!
I heard through the grapevine that white and creams are a “BIG THING” this Spring/Summer. I am not one to usually opt for white, but only because I am rather clumsy with spilling drinks, food, pens, markers, make up, etc etc, but I do like it for it’s elegance. One of my favourite dresses of all time is my off-white lace skater dress (It came in that colour, I didn’t ruin it until it became an “off” white). Bridalwear always immediately comes to mind when I think of white clothes, really pretty and elegant!
I have tied my hair up in a bun just after a quick blow dry, and then let it down before I went out. This doesn’t create the most uniform curls but it is definitely quicker and easier than using curlers when you’ve ran out of time to get ready which I so often do! I’m still really liking the Enrapture Totem Styler which creates much neater curls like I’ve shown in this blogpost

  1. You look really lovely. I like how your curls came out, more natural. And I think you've pulled the dress off for say-wear really well.
I love the scarf at the beginning too

    xx

  2. I'm the same with white – it looks really lovely but I don't find myself wearing them a lot. I have a white topshop dress which I adore but I've only ever worn it once and not that practical. Not that I spill things on myself often but with white – I know I would! I must try and wear it more when it's spring summer!

  3. Nice dress! When looking at the photos I was wondering how you got such nice, full, bouncy curls. My hair would not do that at all if I put it up in a bun when damp 🙁 x
