I first heard of Barbour way back when I was at University and there was a work placement vacancy available at their head office. All I knew of the brand back then was that the Queen was a fan, that their products were of the finest quality, and that Barbour jackets
were 100% guaranteed to keep you warm! The brand have become more fashionable and desirable in recent years, and one line of jackets that have really caught my eye is the Liberty Fabrics collection. I personally think that this is the most fashionable Barbour collection to date. Their classic pieces lined with beautiful floral fabric, whats not to like! When I visited Jules B
boutique, I made a beeline for the Barbour jackets and as luck would have it, they had the Liberty range in stock so I mooched over for a closer look.
The waxed jackets are my favourite, I am not so keen on the quilted ones. I think my disliking of quilted fabrics started from my college days when we were give a huge roll for a children’s wear project. It was the worst project I had ever done! (I digress). Although a little out of my price range for an impulse purchase, I have started to save up for one and hope treat myself for Christmas! It’s a good investment and you get what you pay for. It will last a life time and a high quality jacket is an essential if you live in a cold country. All of mine don’t keep me warm because when it comes to coats, I opt for what looks the nicest and not what keeps me most warm. I hate the cold so I don’t know why I keep doing that! However, the Barbour Liberty jackets will satisfy my vain ways by keeping me stylish and insulated! Have any of you got anything from Barbour? Is it definitely worth it and would you recommend them?
