As far as hen parties go, this was one of the most civilised one (just how I prefer them!). This vintage themed hen party started off with a tea party and ended up with a wine tasting experience, with a few hen-party-esque antics in between!

For this special occasion, we all got dressed up in our best vintage clothing to celebrate my friend, Natalie’s last few days of being “single”. The girls put so much effort in to organizing it and it all looked so amazing from the moment we arrived through to the end of the night. The whole thing was arranged by Diane (in the pretty polka dot halterneck) and Jade (in the gorgeous burgandy blouse and floral skirt) and full praise goes to their organisational skills because the whole day and evening went smoothly and everyone had a great time!

We met up during the day for a vintage themed afternoon tea which was really lovely, and got our hair and/or make up done by Elizabeth Peat. It wasn’t until I arrived that I realised I didn’t have the right lens for the my camera. I must’ve packed my bag about 5 times during the week so I was very annoyed and embarrassed with myself that I swapped lens last minute and forgot to put the standard one back on! I managed to get a few snaps, but everything is very zoomed in as I only had the fixed lens with me!

After having our afternoon tea, we got ready in to our vintage style outfits (my dress is from topshop, I didn’t have anything vintage, I sold it all on eBay several years ago when I needed a bit of money for Uni!) and then we met up with a few others guests for the evening and we went wine tasting, ate canapes and pizza! Yum!

It was a sophisticated hen party and we also got to learn a thing or two about wine, it was actually really interesting and I wanted them to tell us more! It was lovely to see everyone and it was great that so many hens came out for Nat, I even got to reunite with an school friend whom I hadn’t seen in 11 years! It was the first Hen Party I’ve ever been to, Diane and Jade has set the standard high! We hope Natalie had an amazing night! x

  1. This looks like a lovely hen do, and very civilised! Love your dress, I've had my eye on it for a while, but still seem to be thinking about it…don't know why! 🙂
