(photobombed by old man)

Blazer and short Topshop / Blouse River Island / Bag ASOS / Jewellery T:S
These photos were taken in Whitby which is northern coastal town in Yorkshire. I’ve been a few times before when I was little but I haven’t visited for ages! I don’t think I’ve explored the whole town yet, there are a lot of hidden little gems to discover such as old streets, quaint tea rooms, small fashion boutiques and more!

We got there quite late, it was an last minute decision to go because we weren’t sure what the weather would be like since we’ve had weeks of rain (#BritishSummerProblems). The first thing we did was find a place to eat but more of this later and if you like food pics, then keep an eye out for the blog post next week. I’ve overloaded this post with more photos as it is, I’ll keep the food pics for another time.

As well as the harbour and the abbey that is situated in the cliffs, anyone who has been to Whitby before will be familiar with the popular tourist landmarks such as the whale bone arch and all the Dracula themed activities that you can get involved with in the town. I recommend Whitby to anyone because it’s a small town with a lot of character. It’s one of those places where you can walk around all day with lots of interesting things to see and delicious food to eat. There are plenty of fish and chip shops, cakes, smoothie shops and ice cream parlours to enjoy along the way.

  1. You look gorgeous, love what you wore! I saw those shorts when I was out shopping today and was going to get them! I've never been to Whitby before, I should probably have a trip there one day because it's not too far for me. Looks like a lovely day! xxx

  2. I really like the outfit!! And I feel the same way sometimes, but usually I remind myself that 20 years into the future I'll read my old posts and enjoy a good laugh hahaha

  3. I absolutely loved this post! I haven't been to Whitby in years, I went quite a few times when I was little and I had forgotten how beautiful it is! You look gorgeous <3 xo

  4. Ha! I so know what you mean about getting a bit tired with your own blog – I get the same from time to time and find a change in direction does help to freshen things up.

Whitby is a great little place (I've been a few times) and a lovely place to chill and wander through shops etc. Great pics and still true to your blog 🙂 xo

  5. I definitely go through phases where I feel less… lets say inspired by and about blogging. Its usually towards the end of one season, before the next one has really begun. I usually try to make myself post anyway, but it's actually probably better just to take a break if you feel like it. Love what you've come back with, though. Whitby looks so charming and I love those cutoffs!

  6. I love Whitby 🙂 I think it's great seeing personal posts from bloggers, especially days out. It's always ace finding new places to go and explore! I recently went to Pendle which is what the 'Pendle Witches' are famous for. I really enjoyed blogging about it, it just gave a fresh feel to my blog.
The picture of the sun over the whole town looks amazing btw!

anyway look how adorable you look, and whitby looks so prettttty (i think it's also down to the fact you're in the photos and you took the photo of the scenery!) xx

  9. you look so pretty sarah! i absolutely love what you're wearing, the top is so cool. i couldn't decide whether to get the triangle or spike topshop shorts but i think you've made that decision for me. old yorkshire towns are so interesting. i'd love to go to whitby, really must make the trip sometime soon. one of my friends is always going on about how good the fish & chips is up there. i'd actually really like to go for the goth weekend too haha xx

  10. It's so nice to see Whitby on one of my favourite Fashion blogs! I was born there and lived there for 13 years, the majority of my family still live there too!. I love visiting, like you said there are a lot of hidden treasures but when you live there are as appealing! Hope you had a lovely day! Looking forwards to seeing more posts like this really enjoyed looking at the pictures and reading what you got up too 🙂
