(photobombed by old men. again.)
Jacket ASOS / Dress TopShop / Scarf Primark / Bag Mulberry / Jewellery T:S / Sunnies RayBan / Boots Office

I know I look a bit crazy wearing a leather jacket and a scarf when the skies and blue and the sun is shining but I really did feel cold that day! This is one of my favourite outfits lately. The dress is from TopShop and I only bought it three weeks ago but I can’t seem to find it on the website now.  If you’re quite tall, this would be really really short on you but it’s technically a tunic, not a dress – so it was in the “Tops” section of the website. I have found this similar alternative though, it is the same style and same shape but the pattern is paisley instead of florals. It’s is sheer, and there’s a big slit at the back so you’d need to wear a leotard underneath.
We visited Alnwick Castle in Northumberland and more excitingly, it’s best known for being the filming  location of Hogwarts, The School of Witchcraft and Wizzardry – the exterior of it anyway! It’s also the location of when they had broomstick lessons and Quidditch matches. I didn’t know this until the day we got there and my dad told me. You can have your own broomstick lessons and get involved with the various Potter-themed activities that goes on daily, it’s great fun for both kids and Harry Potter fans. The inside of the castle is stunning, so grand and regal. No photography was allowed so I have no images of this to show you 🙁 There’s a really beautiful garden to visit too. Tickets for the castle and the garden can be purchased separately, if you only have time to go to one or the other. We purchased a combined ticket, which is also a year-round pass (a good deal!). We had a great day, wandering around and taking it all in, and of course there was a few minutes spent in the gift shop where I found the coolest glasses case with cat eyes on hem! I almost bought them but I don’t tend to use the cases, the glasses are always on my face!

  2. Amazing post, I love you dress !
I've been to this castle too when I was younger a friend and I were very disappointed the staircases didn't actually move.

  3. What a lovely outfit! I love the print of that dress/tunic. But boy am I jealous!! I'm such a Harry Potter geek and I would love to see that castle one day! 🙂

  4. That tunic looks so cute on you as a dress! Im 5ft 8 so i have to wear mine with skinny jeans 🙁 I love how you paired it with the leather jacket and booties x

  5. Looks gorgeous! I'm not usually one for sight seeing of this nature, but I'll admit that the Harry Potter element would draw me in! xoxo

  6. Alnwick is one of my favourite places in the entire world, my parents only live about 20 minutes away. Northumberland is such a beautiful county its sad I never really appreciated it until I moved away to Leeds! The gardens are truly beautiful aren't they? The deadly garden with all the poisonious plants is my favourite bit, and its amazing to play in the water fountains on a really hot day.

  7. you look super pretty doll! The castle is so picturesque! aha love the old men photo bombing you! I LOVE tunic tops as dresses because I am a fellow shortie, perfect! Oh that case is SO you! x

  8. I need to get myself to Hogwarts… looks beautiful!
Love your jacket, bought a similar one last week in Republic and am dying to wear it but the weather just doesn't seem to understand that at the moment (not that I want the blue skies to disappear!)

  10. This dress is absolutely GORGEOUS! I absolute hate you for two reasons – 1 its not available and 2 ITD NEVER FIT ME ANYWAY! I hate being 5'9" sometimes. But instead I shall adore your gorgeous self in it. You look timeless yet again, absolutely yum! Lovely lovely face. *creep*

Also, I'm ridiculously jealous of the location too – So I sent this to Dan hoping that his love for castles will make him agree to come to hogwarts with me 😉

  11. Alnwick is such a beautiful place! Did you make it to the bookshop? I LOVED it in there. Exciting about the Hogwarts location too. I visited it with an ex-boyfriend and he told me we should get married there – full-on haha! But I was considering it just for the location…

  12. Mega cute outfit! Love it! I went to Alnwick Castle a few years ago and loved it, the gardens were so beautiful and liked all the Harry Potter info. The tree house was great too.
