SpiritHoods www.spirithoods.co.uk

When I first heard about the brand SpiritHoods, it was through blogs and I thought they were just a company who sold cute hoods and clothing for men and women. Recently, I was re-introduced to the brand and I started to learn more about what SpiritHoods, in particular their sublabel ProBlue, are all about and underneath it all, they are so much more than cute fluffy hoods. I am so incredibly impressed, amazed and moved about the brand’s philosophy, ProBlue and their mission to encourage people to express themselves authentically and to inspire positive change.
SpiritHood are a unique American brand and their products are made in Los Angeles although they have a UK website you can browse at (and to also avoid expensive international shipping costs). They donate 10% of the net profit made from ProBlue label to non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation of a particular animal. Not every product is part of the label, so here are the selection of hoods from the range from the US website. The idea is that if you purchase a panda hood, you help a panda but you don’t have to buy anything in order to donate. As I was gifted this Peruvian Grey Wolf Hood*, I told the team who contacted me that I would donate 10% of hood’s RRP to help an animal of my choice. I received the hood through the post yesterday and I donated to Pandas International. I feel bad that I only chose one to donate to, so I’m going to continue to do so until I’ve donated to the other four which are tigers, polar bears, wolves, and snow leopards.
As well as the wonderful mission behind the brand, the products are really cool too. One of my friends have already put the grizzly bear one on their Christmas list! They are, of course, made of faux fur! At first, I didn’t think it would suit me but I really like it and I know it’s going to keep me warm during Autumn and Winter! You can wrap the sides around your neck like a scarf, and there are little pouches at the bottom where you can put your hands (paws) in to! There’s also zipped pockets to keep your belongings in, maybe enough for phone, lippy and some money. All in all, an AMAZING and inspirational brand.

  2. Such an amazing idea! I didn't expect them to be £100+ however, but I would still LOVE one. It really is great 10% goes to animals, I just wish I had that spare money laying around 🙂

Also – you look super cute with it on! Xx

  3. These are so cute – I love the fact they have zipped pockets, something like this would be amazing for a festival. I don't think I could afford to pay the RRP, but I do love what they're doing for animals. x

  4. I love the spirithoods! They are so cute! And the philosophy of the brand is amazing, when I first knew that it made me want to help and buy one. Not many brands do that for animals.:)

  5. Aww these are just so adorable! I love the koala one on the website!
It really suits you and looks incredibly snuggly for winter 🙂

  6. This is such a good idea as it's nice to think that you can spend money on a nice little accessory and donate to a good cause at the same time (: I especially love the lining on the scarf bit, looks lovely (: xx

  7. You look so cute in your Spirit Hood! I saw these about quite a lot last year but I didn't realise the fundraising side of things. I love the Peruvian style print on the lining of yours…might just have to add it to my Christmas wish list! xx

  9. New favourite company? I think so! I'm so glad reading your blog brought Spirithood into my life!

I love animal hats and I know they are super popular at the moment. But these stand out from the crowd AND help endangered animals!

I simply love brands that have a story 🙂 makes it worth the price tag!

    xx

  10. heyy,
Random question, but I have been searching for a navajo warrior spirit hood for sale for months now to to prevail. Unfortunately I didnt jump on my chance to order the hood before they discontinued the pattern. If you would be at all willing to sell your spirit hood I would be willing to spend up to 200$ for it, depending on condition of course. I do understand that it would be used. Please contact me if you are at all interested!!! ([email protected])

Thanks for your time, I look forward to hearing from you,
    Erica
