For the past two years, I have dyed my hair using John Frieda’s Precision Hair Foam and Clairol’s Nice ‘n’ Easy and since then, I’ve had to make sure that I take extra effort to condition my hair regularly. I don’t use anything special though, just what’s available on drugstore shelf! Sometimes I just buy what’s on offer and the only expensive hair products I use are the ones I receive in beauty sample boxes. Below are the products I use on my hair. Here’s a snap shot of the products I use on my hair almost every day or every other day. I’m not fussy about what shampoo I use, but at the moment, I am using Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner for Coloured Hair or my favourite Aussie Hair Shampoo for Everyday Cleaning which has minimal build up as it so promises. It smells SO nice too! Using the Aussie Hair Shampoo leaves my hair really clean for up to two days but as it isn’t a formula that protects coloured hair, I often opt for the Herbal Essences most days. In between days that I don’t wash my hair, I rely on Basiste and the cherry scented can is my favourite. Where would we be without dry shampoo!! I’m in two minds about the Tangle Teezer. I have got other hairbrushers but they are just regular brushes, nothing special. I decided to include the tangle teezer in this post because I would love to hear what you think of it. Although it does detangle, I must be using it wrong but it still pulls and it reeaaally hurts!!!! I think I’m using it wrong though, or my expectations are too high – or maybe the knots in my hair are just extra troublesome – because the point of the Tangle Teezer is that is detangles without pulling or tugging.
Three extra treatments that I use on my hair are Aussie Hair conditioner spray which smells like peaches (yum!), L’Oreal’s Mythic Oil and Philip Kingsley Elastizer. Both the oil and elastizer were samples from Glossybox. I use these products once a week and I alternate (at random) which one I use so that is why the products lasts so long. I don’t see much of a difference to my hair when I use the Philip Kingsley Elastizer and the conditioner spray but I’m sure my hair benefits from it somehow! If my hair could speak(?!), it would be saying “thank you for using these products on me!”…. I particularly love the Mythic Oil and would recommend it because I can feel the difference it makes as it leaves my hair softer and smooth. I would re-purchase this product again and again. I am keen to try Moroccan oil as well, I’ve heard a lot of good things about it but Mythic Oil will do until it runs out.
I have never owned such a posh hair dryer
! I don’t know why but although I don’t mind spending a little bit more on hair tools such as curlers, conical wands and straighteners, I always go “bog standard” when purchasing hair dryers. This was sent to me to review and I am allowed to give one away too! As I LOVE my readers very much, I couldn’t say no! 🙂 This is such a brilliant and high quality product too, something that GHD are well known for! My first GHD product was of course the best-selling hair straighteners. I bought them about 9 years ago, I think? 8 or 9! They have lasted all this time so I’m very confident that this GHD Air Pink Cherry Blossom hairdryer
will last me a good decade!
This is a limited edition and powerful hairdryer with shiny but subtle hot pink chrome accent detailing and it is designed in support of Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The presentation of the packaging is something that screams “premium”. The hairdryer retails at £99.00 and you really get a sense that GHD are a company that care about quality and durability. It comes with two nozzles, and a heat-resistant satin storage dustbag with a cherry blossom embroidery design. The hairdryer itself is quite heavy so it isn’t one to take on your travels but it’s perfect to use within home comforts. I couldn’t wait to try it, it made me feel like it will work miracles on my hair! It’s got two power levels plus temperature controls and a cool blast. The power cord is longer than usual too which seems like such a small thing but I’ve found that really handy!
