Have been meaning to show you all these pretty and cute brogue heels for weeks! I received them from So You Shoes last month but I haven’t worn them until today so I thought I’d snap a few photos of them! I have often heard a lot of good things said about the brand on Twitter, especially about the Kitten flats! I decided to go for the brogues because I have always wanted a pair and I have lost count how many times I’ve tried the flat brogues on in the shops but I just don’t suit them! I can’t pull of the lovely tan brogues, I just look like a granny – not granny chic – just granny! However, I never thought of getting a heeled pair! It’s great that they’re shiny as well, it makes them look more trendy!
So…the big news is that I have been nominated in the Cosmo Blog Awards in the Established Blog Category! I didn’t expect it because I’ve never been very good with competitions that rely on popularity votes. I have a complex about competitions and games like that so I tend to give up before it has even started! But I am really pleased and I was so surprised to see my blog on the shortlist! Thank you for everyone that nominated me! The news that I have been shortlisted has cheered me SO MUCH and it has motivated me to improve my blog! After reading a few negative tweets, I am now slightly paranoid – I am still very self conscious about my writing and my spelling, I know I’m not very good at writing but I like to keep my posts friendly, approachable and conversational. If you wanted to read something more formal, you’d turn to your Kindle or buy a magazine, right?! I have always said that I struggle with writing but I know that practise makes perfect. Anyway, I am going to remain positive and excited about this because it’s a good and happy thing to have happened! Haha I am so glad I'm not the only person who looks like a granny in tan brogues. I remember buying some in Topshop years ago, being insanely excited and wore them once in Liverpool to realise how much of a knobhead I looked, sigh!

Well done hun, that's amazing news. I honestly think that most negative Tweeters don't even believe in the bad things they are saying about you, they set out to upset people and just say whatever comes to mind. But I can understand how it would make you feel, anyway.

Love the brogues. I nearly bought a cherry red pair a couple of years ago but baulked at the price. I regret it now.
