Have had some excitement today as the Olympic torch came in to town. The weather was so nice for it so everyone was in extra good community spirit! It was a nice occasion but it happened so quickly! I guess I expected that but it was constant “Woop woop wooooooooooop” for an hour and then all of a sudden it was like “Oh, it’s time to go back to work now…” I think everyone just wanted to stay in the street and party more! I was stood next to one of the torch bearers’ family and they were so proud when they saw their dad run through! It was such a nice moment for them. I am getting really excited for the Olympics now, not so much for the sports itself – although gymnastics is my favourite – but just for the whole nation to come together and be proud of something.
I was wearing this today but these photos were taken a couple of weeks ago when my laptop busted, but then I got changed in to this outfit later on because I thought that if the jumper has holes in that I might feel a bit “breezier”?! I was wrong. I was boiling in it! I didn’t take a bag out with me because we were only going down the road to watch the Olympic Torch go by, so I just grabbed my phone, keys and a bottle of water. The peacock print tea dress is from Glamorous, which is a new find! I am loving their website, there’s a lot to choose from and I have my eye on a few things when payday arrives soon!
A quick note to say that the winners from the Rekorderlig competition should all have their prizes by now, but if not, please email me and I will chase it up. Originally, I thought that the winners would be receiving a crate of 8 bottles, but Rekorderlig have kindly sent out crates of 15! They will be having a very happy Rekorderlig summer!!
