April edition GLOSSYBOX – Natural and Organic Beauty Box

It was such a surprise to receive the latest edition of Glossybox because none of us expected another themed box. There was no hype like the Valentines Day or Harrods Edition so the fact that it was sprung on us made it a welcome surprise! In my previous post, I was just writing about how I am becoming increasingly more interested in natural and organic beauty products, so this feel like it has come at the right time.
The box itself is 100% biodegradable and it is a nice touch from Glossybox that fits in to the whole theme, I think this was well thought out. As usual, we received five deluxe sized samples and I am pleased with everything I got apart from the Monu Collagen Cream only because this states it is for dry, very dry or dehyrdated skin. My skin type is normal/combination so if I use the collagen cream, would it make my skin more oily as the product looks to be extra hydrating? I’ve only just sorted my skin out with new products that seems to be working for me so am really cautious about using something new on my face without consultation.
The other items are Caudalie serum, Inika organic eyeliner in black, Figs and Rouge lip balm in cherry and vanilla, and last but not least, my favourite Burt’s Bees milk and honey body lotion. I recently purchased lots of Burt’s Bees products and I was eyeing the body lotion up but as I went for cleanser, toner and exfoliater, I ran out of money so had to put the lotion back! This is definitely a happy addition to my collection! Some have complained that there’s too many moisturiser and lotions – I received three in the last box – but I like them and much prefer to have lots of moisturisers than perfume samples. I’ll be using 4 out of 5 products until it all runs out, so all in all, a successful box in my opinion! I’m always interested in reading Glossybox reviews and comparing opinions so feel free to let me know if you have blogged about it and I’ll check it out! Also, if anyone has a favourite natural or organic beauty brands, I would love to know your recommendations!

  1. your glossy box was brill! 😀 they seem very different this month, some people had quite bad boxes some had amazing! I love Burts Bees too 🙂 (I don't subscribe anymore) 🙂

  2. Just got my box too and loved it, but I'm jealous of your Burt's Bees body lotion all the same haha! Looks like they gave everyone a good all round mix 🙂 x

  3. I wish all the beauty boxes were like this, if you are interested I am a natural beauty blogger so you will only find chemical free, natural, organic skincare recommendations on my blog 🙂

  4. Aw I can't wait to get home and open up my Glossybox! The Caudalie serum looks so good, and is def something I want to try. The milk and honey body lotion sounds amazing too! Also, thank you for your lovely comment on my blog Sarah, I read the first part of it, and I completely understand what you mean about feeling awkward around people. I always feel as if anything I say in a conversation is forgotten about or is met by awkward silence. :/ xxx

  5. I used to work at the Body Shop and everything is made from natural products and community fair trade products ! Plus they all smell amazing =)

  6. This box definitely looks like a winner.
I love 'natural' beauty products, and the lip balm is definitely something I'd go for!
Burts Bees is a great natural brand, too. Lucky!!

I was just checking out Burts Bee in Mannings today and saw a rose toner but i left empty handed, lol….i've been buying too many cosmetic products so need to really know what i need as opposed to want! I'm sure we all have that problem right?hahaha

I actually saw that fig and rouge lip balm in SaSa too, let me know if it's any good:)

  9. I loved my Glossybox this month – I posted my thoughts today @ agirlsimagination.com

I would have loved the Burts Bees lotion. Back from my lunch break with Neals Yeard and Origins facial products after looking for more natural products.
