(edit Feb 2014 – Yay! Now you can get EOS lip balms in the UK! They are available from Selfridges)

“Packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil, EOS keeps lips moist, soft and sensationally smooth.”

If I was stranded on an island and had to choose one luxury item to bring with me, it would be lip balm and EOS lip balms are pretty much on top of the list! It is the one beauty product that I need! I have got so many different ones because I’m always buying lip balms and I am keen to try new brands, so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the EOS lip balm spheres which have been hyped and praised by American beauty bloggers. The first thing you notice is the shape of them, and the colours of the packaging. It is sturdy and really good quality. I bought the green one (which is a honeydew scent) a couple of months ago and really liked it so I bought three more!
I wanted to blog about them and tell you a little more because I haven’t seen any reviews of these on UK blogs and I know some people are intrigued by this product. The brand is currently not available on the UK high street at the moment – I don’t know if there are plans to launch it over here – but in the meantime, it can be purchased online through UK-based independently owned beauty stores such as ZunetacutECOsmetics, or even Amazon. EOS have their own website where you can purchase  directly but they are based in America and shipping may cost more.
EOS products are 100% natural and 95% organic, and the lip balms are free from chemicals such as petrolatum and paraben. The feel of these balms itself are smooth and buttery with a matte application and I prefer this kind of lip product. I don’t like the glossy lip products like Vaseline, but it always feel greasy and sticky to me, and for some reason, Vaseline dries my skin out even more so once the product has faded throughout the day. EOS is moisturising and keeps lips smooth and it makes you want to apply more on, you might even get addicted to it like I am! The spheres come in seven different scents; strawberry sorbet, lemon drop, summer fruits, honeysuckle honeydew, sweet mint, medicated tangerine and passionfruit, each one in it’s own lovely colourful vibrant packaging.
They cost about £4.50 – £5.95 each depending on which retailer you buy from, and they seem to last for ages! The honeydew one hasn’t gone down much and I’ve used it everyday since I bought it a couple of months ago. I don’t normally review beauty products, but I really do love this product! It’s easy to use, surprisingly easy to hold, I think it’s fantastic that it is natural, organic and cruelty-free, and who can resist the unique and bright packaging!

  1. They look fabulous! Similarly, lip balm is my staple beauty product so I think I'll definitely be looking into these further – organic & natural makes them even better in my book!

Thanks! (my bank account is beginning to dislike you a little though ;)) hehe!

  2. these look so cool, almost edible in fact haha! I do love a good lip balm and these look really nice, I think I might purchase one 🙂 but the question is now.. what scent to choose hmm!! Hope your well Sarah?! xx

  3. The EOC Lip Balms look adorable. I've only tried the Summer Fruits one because – it's true, they last forever! So, when that's done, I want to try the others.
I love that these are 100% natural and 95% organic. Some lip products have so many chemicals added into them, yuck.
    Great review!

  4. I absolutely love these balms! I wish they were more available here. I have the sweet mint, lemon and strawberry ones, with sweet mint being my favourite, but I might give honeydew a go too. 😀 xx

  5. I've always been curious about these, and have heard a mixed bag of reviews so far, but erm, honeydew scent? SOLD to the gal with a lip product obsession! 😛 xx

  6. I adore these, so many Pharmacy/ Drug Store brands don't cut it, but I'm totally in love with my Summer berry one I picked up in San Fran last year!

  7. I love this brand! My cousin brought me some over from America when she came to visit 🙂 Haven't tried the honeydew yet but the tangerine one is delicious- it actually tastes like it, and texture is like velvet. Doesn't seem to last too long though, but that may be because I keep subconsciously licking it off!

  8. Thanks for the review, I have been watching a YouTube makeup guru using this product too. Am just about to do more research on it. This post saved me efforts! And thanks for letting us know where can we buy them .

  11. Strange, I thought the UK would at least have it more accessible than what you've mentioned, especially since it's easily accessible in Norway – and we're quite slow on the move to get amazing and popular brands here.

But I agree EOS lip balms are amazing; can't really remember anyone in my social circle at school and among friends that haven't owned an EOS.

  13. I didn't like the honeysuckle that much but I did love the tangerine one! I'm ordering a new one, since it ran out. And you're right. They last way too long! I have the tangerine one since December, I've been using it every day and it still has some left!
    Great post doll!

  14. Those are so cute! The range of colours are pretty and perfect for Spring/Summer 🙂 Quite tempted to get one of these. I like how you can apply it without dipping your finger in too x

  15. I keep hearing so many great things about these lip balms and was gutted that they were not available in the UK so thanks for the links 🙂 xx

  16. Oh…I love these EOS balms. My favorite is the pink one. They are organic and stylish. Cannot beat that. You have a good collection going on there. The yellow one makes my lips peel for some reason so that is my least favorite.

  17. i got one of these a while ago and i find them really waxy actually? i've only dabbed it on my lips to see what it was like, so i haven't given it a proper test run, maybe it's just because i'm so used to the feel of vaseline. xxx
