I have worn this stripy dress in a few outfit posts before but I love it. It’s from Topshop, I bought this one in the sales and I have it in the blue stripe as well. I’ve accessorised with a black ribbon and a white peter pan collar top underneath.
I think I’ve finally found a space inside the house to take photos! It is a tiny space so quite restricting but going to see how it goes. Being indoors and not having enough light, I’ve had to use the flash on the camera which I really dislike as I am a fan of natural lighting and using the flash can give the photos a “harsh” artificial look. I hate getting bogged down by technical things like that. I’m just going to go with the flow this time!

  1. The dress is gorgeous, looks so nice on you! I forgot the oscars was on tonight, thanks for reminding me 🙂 Definitely going to be joining ASOS fashion finder! x

  2. Love your dress!! You don't look pregnant! You're right about flash. I hate it! I have to use flash on all of my pictures and they often look artificial lol. Good luck staying up for the Oscars! I find them to be dreadfully boring, aside from the red carpet.

  3. Love the stripey dress, also loving the inside photos 😉 I really struggle with lightening in my house too and I hate using the flash but I think your outfit pics came out really nice 🙂 xox

  4. Ooo this dress is cute! I have a navy stripe dress which I actually have the same 'looking pregnant' problems in, damn those stripes and high waist line! I only joined Hello Cotton the other day too, I then proceeded to spend the majority of the day browsing blogs 😛 Off to check out asos fashion finder now!

  5. I love this dress – anything slightly nautical-y is a winner for me. Was it the wedding fayre in London? Was supposed to help out there for work but didn't in the end. If your sister doesn't already, you should get her into wedding inspiration blogs – my favourite is ruffledblog.com!!

  6. I have that dress as well in the blue stripe. I bought mine second hand from Ebay. Do you find that it seems really short? maybe the previous owner of mine shrunk it in the wash or something haha x x

  7. Your photographs have turned out great! That's a really cute nautical dress, looks comfy. I need more comfy dresses like this actually but it's hard when your trying to save!

Asos Fashion Finder and Hello Cotton looks really interesting, thanks for the link!

  8. I love both those blouses, so pretty , especially the double collar. I have banned myself from buying any more white blouses or shirts though, need some other colours in my wardrobe too:p xx

  9. I just joined Hellocotton aswell and I'm following you =) !

The dress is very nice, perfect for a trip to the seaside I'd say !!

  10. I really love your dress. And yay for finding somewhere to take pictures, I'm having that issue in my poky little flat. The living room has bare walls but I'd feel quite awkward posing when my housemates are sat watching telly! x

  11. Hahaaa i can honestly say luvvie you look anything BUT pregnant, trust me, it's a gorgeous dress. love the colours, very spring like and flattering 🙂
I have a huge crush on your blusher 🙂 it's so pretty!

  12. Even though you used the flash and you're indoors, you still look beautiful as always Sarah! I love stripey clothes, but I just never wear them.. I find them hard to pull off, but you pull it off well!
Hope you have a lovely night watching the oscars!xx

  13. You look beautiful! I love that dress, you definitely don't look pregnant! I also have my eye on that ASOS cream and black blouse after reading this post! Blogging will be the death of my bank account!

  14. It doesn't make you look pregnant at all haha but I know what you mean, I'm sure I own dresses/tops which make me feel like that too. Your hair is also looking gorgeous Sarah, so longg…

  15. How good is Fashionfinder? I can spend ages playing on that site haha. I am an A+ timewaster. I love your dress, you look amazing! I've been looking for a dress like that for ages but can never find one, boohoo!

  16. Oooooh I love this dress, love the simplicity of the shape and the gorgeous stripes, you look fabulous, just like you always do.

I've joined Hello Cotton too, but I think I need to spend some time getting to grips with it as I don't think I've realised its full potential yet.
