Very.co.uk sent me this lovely grey knitted mini dress in the middle of September. I have accessorised with an Autumn owl ring (soon to be available in the shop). Keeping it nice and simple. It received the dress through the post during the week when it got ridiculously hot, so I haven’t had a chance to wear this dress until now. It is from Dee V by Diana Vickers range. I’ve had to take the hem up slightly, the knitted dress was too long on me. The dress looks lovely on Diana Vickers, the dress is the perfect length on her. I’ve sewn the hem up to emulate how it looks on her. I’m glad I chose this dress, it’s going to be an staple A/W piece every year! I was going to get the playsuit but I changed my mind because I thought summer was over! (I guess it is now! These photos were taken when it was drizzling with rain. I almost slipped on a wet tile and fell on my butt!) I have always experienced good customer service at Very.co.uk but I often forget to look on the website, usually only when I am reminded by the television advert or when I have read about it on the internet. I have bookmarked the website now! I now remember that there are so much to choose from, and there’s lots of gift ideas for Birthdays and Christmas! Definitely a virtual destination to visit, if only to avoid the Christmas high street madness!

Feather Magazine featured this look on their website, you can read this here. It’s a fantastic write up, thank you, Feather Mag – it was such a nice surprise! I can’t wait to read more on Feather Magazine. It was founded in July 2011, so it’s fairly new. I think it’s lovely how they have stated: “Feathers symbolize freedom and the pursuit of wisdom. We believe that’s what your twenties are all about” They are a magazine that writes about what you want to read about, you can tweet them your suggestions, they would be glad to hear your ideas!

I think it might time to go back to my natural hair colour. My hair is all kinds of colours right now. You can see that it is streaky colours of black, brown and ginger! I wonder if it would be too weird if I dyed the top half of my hair dark brown and leave the ends as it is. Like a backwards ombre job!? Then I could just disguise the roots but still keep a bit of colour and leave it to grow out completely back to it’s natural colour. I love dying my hair and I don’t want to go back to boring old black/dark brown but I think that if I continue to dye my hair is going to disintegrate and that I’m not going to have any hair left!

  1. Cool dress 🙂 love the stripes at the bottom and the boxy shape, sets it apart from the usual knit dresses I see. The owl ring is awesome too!

  2. Oooh I love this!! I kinda wish I'd picked this from Very when they asked me, but I love what I chose. Maybe I'll get this anyway!!
I love the grey colour- it will go with everything!! and the shape is just lovely :]]

  3. This dress is so nice. I'm not normally a knit jumper dress kinda person, but everything you pull off, makes me want to buy it too!
Your hair is a lovely colour.. I think you should leave it! I love the length too! x

  4. Loving that knitted dress, it looks so cosy! Also, I really can't imagine you going back to your natural colour! I used to dye my hair all the time too but never ever went as light as yours..but it was a shock when I dyed it black again but I haven't looked back in about 4 years!

  5. you are really so gorgeous – your skin is perfect, your hair is actually beautiful (I like the mixture of colours you have going on right now!) and just totes major girl crushing right now! haa!

  6. I was just thinking how pretty your hair colour looks! Backwards ombre job sounds interesting though – I'm a hair dying addict too!

Love the dress too, you're right – it will be a a/w staple for years to come! xx

  7. You look gorgeous 🙂 but then again I'm sure you could wear a potato sack and look absolutely stunning! I was so happy when you commented on my post, saying youd felt the same in the past. The guy is really creepy, hes making me feel verynervous, to the point I feel physically sick. And how was it when you saw a therapist? Do you recommend it? I get so anxious when people look at me, theres not many people who really understand. Sorry for the massive comment! xxx

  8. I love your hair – I think you'd really suit a dark brown with a hint of red! I don't think it'd look weird if you dyed the top dark brown at all though! Congratulations on being featured on feather magazine – I'm just reading the feature now :)! I love your dress as they say it adds a bit of light to a dreary season. Your ring is lovely too – I'm getting obsessed with owl accessories recently.

  9. You are so beautiful! Your pictures always make me smile because of how cute you are. Such a pretty dress, and the owl ring is lovely. Looking forward to seeing your hair if you decide on the reverse ombre!xxx

  10. Ooooooh love this dress, excellent choice. I'm a big fan of the sweater dress and am in the market for a couple of new ones to replace my 2 basic H&M ones that have succumbed to washing machine shrinkage. They're now bordering on obscene….

Anyway, you look beautiful as ever, not sure about the hair- personally love it as it is, but not sure you'd just be able to dye the top half. Who knows, My one time foray into hair dye was an experience never to be repeated really although I'm super tempted at the moment), so I'm no expert. You're hair looks so beautifully long and has great volume to it. *HAIR ENVY*

Loving the look of that owl ring, super cute. Getting into animal rings at the moment, would love to see something feline on Temp Sec.

Man, I just managed another stupidly long comment, sorry….

  11. Awh you look super pretty Sarah (: That knitted dress is gorgeous, so perfect for this time of year and right through winter. I love your outfit photo stories haha, I nearly got run over when taking mine on Friday: it's a risky business, all this fashion blogging 😉 xxx

  12. I love that dress! It looks so cosy! I love the way you've got one different coloured nail too!
Don't dye your hair! I think it looks awesome with all the different colours 🙂 Every man and his dog is doing ombre these days and I think yours looks great as it is 🙂 x

  13. Love the 60s feel of the dress and glad you made it work for you. I have so many items in my wardrobe that I need to shortenen and I rarely get round to it! The owl ring is really nice too, off to check out Feather magazine now, it sounds interesting!

  14. I love the 60s vibe of this dress, it really suits you. I really think Diana Vickers range is amazing, so many lovely pieces. Just a shame about the price range, slightly over my poor budget!

  15. thanks for the comment on my blog. i would recommend lancome flash balm definitely, although i should stress it is a totally different product. it's a sort of lightweight moisturiser for under make up or for a glow without make up. There's no actual colour in it at all. BB cream seems to be more like a foundation!
it's clear your such a dedicated (and v talented!) blogger, that's something i definitely need to work on. it's difficult when u don't have many followers, i start to think i'm rubbish and don't post (hence not having many followers!) but i am definitely going to work harder on it.

anyway your blog entry looks amazing, a well deserved win!

  17. The dress looks so soft! Perfect for this time of year and when it gets colder too. I will have to look at Feather magazine, they have a lovely name 🙂

  18. you are just so gorgeous girl. i adore your entire outfit down to the very last detail. and can i just say i am so envious of your beautiful hair! just stumbled across your blog and excited to read more!!

  19. The dress really suits you 🙂
And your hair colour is really nice. When I used to dye my hair it always used to go different shades. That shade really suits you tho 🙂
I'm having a giveaway on my blog and it ends tonight so if you get chance then have a look. I think it'd be of interest to you.

  20. I really like your style it's very nice and I really like your hair, I wish my hair was manageable and obeyed me. I moisturize it like a crazy person but it always always stays really dry ughh so annoying. But this year I'm working hard to make it grow long!
