I’m really bad at walking in heels. Other women glide so gracefully in them and I just look at them in awe. The price tag doesn’t neccessarily mean that the more you spend on a pair of shoes, the comfier they are (TopShop….I’m looking at you!) and I have low threshold for pain. Anyway, I need to start wearing super high heels and I wanted to show you some of my shoe purchases!
Us ladies really do put ourselves through hell sometimes….. just check out the video below of the girl in super high heels!

Eurgh that video makes me cringe! I think its so mean to make models try and walk in heels that are so obviously unwearable! I admit that I can't walk in heels at all, I'm 5'11 though so I can get away with flatties thank god! I do envy people that can walk gracefully in amazing shoes. Your collection is gorge ๐Ÿ™‚

sounds like my sister! she has so many shoes, all with heels about 1000000 inches tall, but she can't even walk in any of them #palmtoface haha. and major shoe crush on the first pair! x

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous shoes! I particularly love the ASOS ones. The heels are amazing xx

  4. 4th August 2011 / 3:16 pm

Those shoes are gorgeous! But I totally understand…I can't walk in a heel higher than 3.5 inches…and that's pushing it. So if the heel is 4 in and the platform is 1 in, great! But if there's no platform and the heel is 4 in…uh oh :/.

My sister buys shoes she can never wear, too. And that'd be fine…if I could stand to walk in them!

Oh my god that poor woman, those shoes must have been agony!
I'm like you, I can't walk in heels at all! I'm only 5'2 so I need them as well, typical! xx

Lovely shoes! First pair are very nice, especially colour of the heel!

  7. 4th August 2011 / 4:00 pm

I know what u mean, i was really tempted to buy some super high shoes from topshop the other day and i had to put them back… realistically i rarely wear heels beside the fact i can barely walk in them!

  8. 4th August 2011 / 4:05 pm

ohlord just watching the model walk is unbearable so painful! These heels are amazing especially topshop one <3

  9. 4th August 2011 / 4:17 pm

I rarely wear heels – even for my wedding I wore white ballet pumps. I live in flip flops because most sandals have got crazy heels on them and sandals with little heels are like for old ladies and they look silly on me (I'm 25 lol)

  10. 4th August 2011 / 4:56 pm

aw I'm in love with the last ones form Topshop!

  11. 4th August 2011 / 5:27 pm

i friggen love heels! i love the first pair and the last pair!

so so so so beautiful!!:) xx

  13. 4th August 2011 / 5:47 pm

I always find my heels comfy at the beginning then towards the end of the night my feet cramp up in so much pain. I'm always put off wearing them when I go out since I'm not much of a fan of bare feet on grimey floors. But I currently have a really comfy pair of wedges and they're easier to walk in! x

  14. 4th August 2011 / 6:37 pm

LOVE those last Topshop ankle boots. I haven't worn heels in yonks; come to think of it, I haven't had a good night out in yonks! Gotta sort it out. x

  15. 4th August 2011 / 7:15 pm

OMG GORGEOUS HEELS! i really love the metalic heel <3 i love the topshop booties, wish i was a size 5 instead of a 3.5 ๐Ÿ™ x

  16. 4th August 2011 / 7:29 pm

I know it's really mean, but I just cackled my head off at that video! Highly hilarious. Not sure which heels are my favourite out of these, but yes they are all so high – don't blame you for being apprehensive to walk in those!

  17. 4th August 2011 / 7:33 pm

I can't walk in heels to save my life but they are so gorgeous! I could look at them all day!

  18. 4th August 2011 / 8:26 pm

wow, I love the heels on the first pair!!I can't walk in heels at all, flats all the way for me xx

  19. 4th August 2011 / 8:26 pm

I'm the same as you, I'm such a shortie but I just look like an idiot in heels ๐Ÿ™

Such a shame as these are all gorgeous!

    xx

  20. 4th August 2011 / 9:02 pm

Aw I know how you feel, I get so jealous looking at all the women walking so easily in sky high heels, but I can't walk in anything over 3 inches and even that is pushing it! We can be failed women together haha.
Also, that video made me curl up – poor girl!

These are pretty, but I would never be able to walk in these either. And I would not know where to wear them without being extremely overdressed. Plus, it would have to be a place where walking is not a necessity, but an option.

  22. 4th August 2011 / 10:03 pm

I wish I could walk in heels, I really do ๐Ÿ™

I love that blush pink pair, it's awesome! And heel-walking just takes a bit of practice.

And what are you on about?! You are the one with amazing style and a fabulous location. ๐Ÿ™‚

Aw I'm terrible at walking in heels as well, I've pretty much giving up, haha. Those shoes are nice, though!

  25. 5th August 2011 / 1:49 am

    So gorgeous! xo

  26. 5th August 2011 / 9:29 am

What you describe it basically … me! I'm only 5ft (So when I shrink honestly… I'm going to just disappear) so I decided the same thing but I rubbish at walking in heels too. BUT I've adapted, wedges are key, they are far easier to walk in (Bigger surface to step on) plus if you get ones with a bit of a platform on the sole too, the heels isn't as big therefore more comfortable! I now stick to two pairs of heels, shoe boots (wedges obv) and some wedge summer strappy heels! And I find them both easy to walk in and not painful! That's just my experience anyway ๐Ÿ˜›

wowowowow they are gorgeous! ๐Ÿ™‚ xxxxxxxxxx

  28. 5th August 2011 / 6:45 pm

Ooohh my gosh, they're lovely! I dread to think what I'd be like in heels – reckon I'd break my neck 2bh. Hope you find someone to sell them to x

  29. 5th August 2011 / 6:50 pm

I would so buy the black topshop pair off you but I am a size 7 so they're a bit too small. Also, I am really rubbish walking in heels too, in fact I don't think I've ever tried to walk in heels with more than a one inch heel!

I'm sure if you walked a few laps around your house you'd be a pro at walking in heels in no time :).

Oh wow, I love all 3 pairs. I wish I could walk in heels too!

  31. 5th August 2011 / 8:07 pm

amazing shoes and they are really tall! I frown upon designers that make the models wear those high high shoes when they walk, if the models trip and break their ankle it could ruin their career, but its not like they will say no to the shoes because they know they can easily be replaced…. just my opinion lol

  32. 5th August 2011 / 8:33 pm

WOW!! those first are really magnificent !!! AMAZING <3

  34. 5th August 2011 / 10:12 pm

Ooh, I love the first pair! The rose gold heel really adds a nice touch. I always find (somehow) I can walk better in heels when I'm drunk, lol! xx

  35. 6th August 2011 / 2:43 am

hey these heels are amazing! especially the cream ones.

re comment on about bleach! I use this and then cream peroxide of either 30 volume or 40 volume depending how much I want to bleach my hair!

it is slightly messy but so much more effective than normal box bleaches! xox

  36. 6th August 2011 / 9:40 am

I'm not very good at walking in heels either! I don't wear them very often and if I do they're usually wedges. I really love the look of all of these, but I don't think I'd look very elegant stumbling around in them ๐Ÿ™‚

    x

  37. 6th August 2011 / 9:46 am

lovely collection of heels. there is a science to walking in heels.

  38. 6th August 2011 / 9:57 am

For someone who doesn't wear heels often, you have very good taste in heels! They are all gorgeous, it's a shame you had to send most of them back! I like to think I'm good at walking in heels… I know I'm probably not though ;). Have you tried wedges?
    xoxo

  39. 6th August 2011 / 10:43 am

I love the 1st and the 3rd pair of heels! They're so gorgeous! I always walk in the highest heels I can find, I mainly wear heels on nights out (I'm a uni student so go out 2+ nights a week). I can walk in heels fine but I can literally RUN in super high heels after I've had a drink, I don't know what it is but for me it's so much easier to walk in them when I'm tipsy. Strange eh?

This is a problem I have too. Heels are one of those thngs, anything over 2 inches and I'm out. But like you, I've decided the time is right, but I think the key is to build up- I've gone up an inch in heel height and intend to master these before trying anything much higher.

Shame you didn't keep the top pink ones, they're truly beautiful.

  43. 6th August 2011 / 6:05 pm

The first pair is absolutely gorgeous !!! I'm in love !
I'm not so bad at walking with heels but the thing is I always buy tons of them and almost never wear it… I usually go for my old and trashy but comfy trainers !

you are preaching to the choir I cannot walk in heels to save my life. Although, I ran in heels on my 18th birthday, maybe because they had a platform hmmm. I love the ASOS ones. Sorry I would take the Topshop ones of your hands but I'm between sizes 6/7 my feet keep growing.
