Avon Collaborates With Fashion Designer

Avon have collaborated with British fashion designer, Tabitha Webb, to bring you a small collection of designer-quality accessories at high street price tag (now that they are currently knocked the price down.

I was gifted 3 of them to do an outfit post for Avon's blog, and received the beautiful structured handbag, the 'mary poppins style' weekender bag (so spacious that you could actually put a lamp and a pot plant in there...), and the lovely wallet.

5 Benefits of Using Coffee Scrubs

Coffee body scrubs are one of those things (along with coconut oil!) which have taken off! The first time I heard about coffee body scrubs was on Dragon’s Den which might’ve aired last year? Well, I have finally succumbed to coffee body scrubs (it didn’t take long!).

Besides from branding, the thing that sets each of these businesses them apart is how they communicate their story on social media - which they seem to rely so heavily on for promoting their goods. The new age form of advertising is clearly for brands like these though, I’ve seen new similar brands pop up all over the place in the last few months and frank body* is one of them.

5 Benefits of Using Coffee Body Scrub

frank body has caught my (and 689k Instagram followers) attention. And they have been the first ones to introduce me to coffee scrub. Whilst most coffee body scrubs brands only offer body scrubs (well, duh), frank body gives us a whole lot more! They also sell a face scrub, face cleanser, body balm, body cream, moisturiser, and a lip scrub and balm kit!

My Gymwear Wishlist

Earlier this year, I started going to the gym for the first time (ever) and I wasn’t sure if I was going to stick to it, so apart from my Nike trainers, I decided to buy everything on the cheap, mainly from Primark - and we all know those don’t necessarily keep well once it has been washed multiple times!

Four months later, I've proved to myself that I am committed to exercising (hell, I even enjoy it!) so it’s probably time to treat myself to some really  quality gymwear!

Sportswear designs are so stylish now (when can I look like Gigi Hadid, plz?) and I could do with buying a couple more pieces! If I make an effort to look nice, then I feel ready to take on anything and this definitely applies for when I exercise and I’m not talking about make-up for once.

All of my gym clothes are currently black - black sport bra, black sports leggings, black sports top, black trainers. Black everything. A bit dull, you might think? I wasn’t confident enough to wear colours and didn’t want to wear anything that would draw attention to myself, but now I’m ready to dabble in some colourful sportswear! Perhaps nothing too bold yet, as you can see in my wishlist below, but I can definitely incorporate a bit of soft pinks and greys into my workout style!

Here’s a few things that I’ve got my eye on!

stylish gym wear, trendy sports clothes, superdry sports

All of the sportswear clothing I've picked out here are from Superdry Sport, a collection that's set to launch later in the year, so consider this a bit of a sneak peek! Superdry are known for comfort and for being really good at making versatile clothing so apart from the sports bras, I would actually wear these around in the house as loungewear. I don't know any of the individual price information yet but it looks like the prices start from £24.99 which is very reasonable for quality items! I love the idea of wearing different sportswear for different types of exercises. I particularly like the slouchy ballerina-inspired cream cardigan for yoga and the trendy pink/grey sports bra for Zumba or Clubfit!

I have put off buying a gym bag because I think they are really ugly, bulky and heavy. I've been using Sainsbury's limited edition canvas bag designed Bella Freud for Sports Relief and it has served me well but it's time for a proper gym bag! This ASOS one looks really funky and I love that it's SO shiny! Not bad for £18 either!

I don't need another pair of trainers but when I do, I'll go for another pair of Nike Roche in the grey colour. The thing with the Nike Roche style is that they are such great trainers for all kinds of exercising... and they look really good when worn casually with black skinny jeans, a plain white t-shirt and a leather jacket!

I don't know why I am obsessed with buying things to drink out of. I have more than enough glasses, tea cups and coffee mugs to last a lifetime. Yet I want to buy more! I think this cheeky water bottle is brilliant. I love pizza and have been known to place an order at Dominoes right after I've finished at the gym. I know, that's sooo bad, right?! But I haven't done that in a while though...

Beats Headphones:
I definitely need music or a tv show to get me through a session on the treadmill - even if it's the Antiques Roadshow! I just need a distraction so I don't get bored! I'm using the Apple ear phones at the moment and not only they are crap, they don't fit my ears at the best of time let alone when I'm running (ok. Jogging. No, actually, more like power walking.) Perhaps headphones might be more suitable and there's nothing better than a pair of Beats!

Molton Brown Rhubarb and Rose Candle

I believe the Rhubarb and Rose blend has been in the Molton Brown range for a couple of years now but they have recently released it as a candle. Channeling a London via The Pantry via Yorkshire, Rhubarb and Rose* has the most loveliest, fruitiest, delicious notes that will freshen up your house this Summer with a sugary yet tart fragrance.

Molton Brown Rhubarb and Rose Candle

Molton Brown Rhubarb and Rose Candle

The scent of rhubarb is very distinctive. I love the smell of it and always have done, but the taste is something I’ve only just learned to like. It would be so great if Molton Brown released more gourmand blends like this.

Molton Brown describes their Rhubarb and Rose collection as a summer tart. The Rhubarb spikes a bitter top note as zesty fruits fizz with a citrus twist. These contrast with the sweetness of sugary tart in the base while gentle rose extract and vanilla bring to life the butter pastry of dessert.

The notes are as follows -

Top notes: Grapefruit and Yuzu
Heart notes: Rhubarb Leaf and Rose
Base notes: Vanilla and Musk

Shabby Chic Homeware From Avon

There has many surprises from Avon lately, and one of them is the home accessories range. I have never explored Avon beyond their beauty range (and it is one hell of a beauty range. Some may say that it’s enough to fill a catalogue…) but recently I drew my attention to their offering of homeware.

If You Could Choose Any Make-Up From House Of Fraser

What would YOU pick?

House of Fraser kindly allowed me to choose two makeup products that I had never tried before. Of course, as anyone knows, when it comes to the beauty department at House Of Fraser, you are absolutely spoilt for choice! As an excited blogger and a fan of all things beauty, where do I even begin?! Excitement overload!

make up from house of fraser

I thought ‘What has been on my wishlist for ages? Have I seen any stand-out products on blogs lately?’, that would be a good starting point.

I narrowed it down to the two following products: A Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation, and Lancome Shine Lover Lip Stick. The foundation is somewhat of a cult classic because everyone always talks about how amazing Laura Mercier base products are, and the lipstick because I wore something similar 3 years ago at my sister’s wedding when I was bridesmaid.

Benefit Brow Collection | There's Something For Everyone!

The Benebabes at Benefit Cosmetics have been helping people transform and groom their brows since 1976, so it's safe to say that they know a thing or two about brows!

In May, Benefit announced that they were launching their biggest, bestest brow collection ever*! And they weren’t kidding around! When they announced it on Twitter, I excitedly followed all of their updates (well, what else am I gonna do on a Friday night, right?!)...

Benefit Cosmetics's BIGGEST Brow Collection EVER!

You will see that amongst the new goodies, there are some of the products you already know and love, such as Brow Zings, Gimme Brow, and the High Brow pencils. They remain the same but with the packaging design refreshed. They have extended the shade range and added more brow products to the collection so no matter the brow problem, there is something for everyone!

6 Exciting New Cosmetics Products From Soap & Glory

One who year has passed! This time last year, I was spending my first week at the Soap & Glory office. I had my interview, moved to London, and started work all within a week! I am FREAKING out at how that was a year ago, I still remember it like it was yesterday!

The fond memories of seeing how incredibly hard the team work on the products and projects will forever make me a SUPER fan of Soap & Glory! Knowing the individuals who makes the magic happen, behind the product development, packaging design, the quirky puns, the website… it only means that in my (loyal) eyes (albeit a pair of biased eyes!), they can’t do no wrong. I adore the brand in every way!

My Top Picks From Primark Summer 2016

The British Summer means two days of sunshine (if we’re lucky) followed by the next 3 days of rain! Although I’ve just read that there is a possibility of a heatwave soon, and lucky us, it’s reportedly going to last six weeks. Oh, we will see about that, you tease! I’m not sure I want to get my hopes up (afterall, it has been chucking it down this past 2 weeks. Meh) but I don’t think I can wait any longer for this heatwave so I’ve been eyeing up a few last minute holiday packages and getting some tips on how to get the best hotel deals. I haven't been on holiday for about 7 years so that explains my thirst for sunshine that lasts longer than 2 days!

My Top Picks From Primark Summer 2016

I’m already seeing Autumn/Winter stock filtering in to the shops (Dear fashion, can you like, hold your horses!) so I’m going to have to be mega quick if I want to grab some Summer clothes, I don’t want to snooze and lose incase I need to grab some bits for a potential holiday or even just suitable clothing in preparation for this ‘heatwave’ the UK is about to get. Don’t let me down now you’ve got me all excited for a HEATWAVE! #excitedOMG

Of course, my first stop is Primark. Truth be told, I can't actually afford to shop anywhere else anymore! But before popping in to the shop, I had a peek of Primark’s stylish Summer collection on InStyle to get an overview of what’s available at the moment and I initally had a lot added to my wishlist  (as you do!) but realistically, what the hell am I going to do with 6 bikinis, 3 kaftans, and 5 kimonos and 2 wicker bags?!

I eventually narrowed it down to my top 14 favourite items from the Summer collection at Primark, trendy items which I can mix and match. All 14 items came to the total of £123.50, so that’s pretty much my Summer wardrobe sorted for this year - and the next if I take care of them, which I’m sure I will! But you know what the quality of Primark is like!...

I can't wait to buy these. My new Summer clothes and I will sit and wait for you, heatwave! See ya soon, ok? ☀️☀️☀️

This month’s Love Me Beauty* looks very exciting, doesn’t it! Love Me Beauty is the beauty box subscription where you can pick the contents yourself. Well, I say ‘box’ but, actually, the last couple of monthly editions have arrived in cute little make-up bags.

This month’s make up bag is blue, which makes a lovely change from the monochrome theme that Love Me Beauty usually goes for. With your credits this month, you can treat yourself to some of the following beauty products available on this month’s Love Me Beauty menu!

14 Things That Make Me Happy!

Basically just did an internal scream at how fast this year is going (and in general, how fast time seems to go these days). OMG. :-/

diptique candles

We are half way through 2016 and I think we can all agree that it has been a really weird year it has been so far.

The world seems to a bad place at the moment and being an already pessimistic person, it’s hard not to dwell on things or panic about the future. I seem to spend every waking moment panicking about the future, panicking about things that are simply out of my control.

Even when things are good and there’s no real reason to be so ‘glass half empty’, my brain seems to have a radar to pick up the tiniest, most unnecessary thing to stress about. I used to think that there was something wrong with me but anxiety is common and I am aware that I have to break that cycle and take baby steps to change things for myself.

It is subject that I touch on every now and then, surrounding myself with good people and a small change in lifestyle has definitely helped me to calm tf down. Everything that I have been doing is working... I just have to keep at it.

nike roche trainers

Reminding myself to take a moment and look back on happy things can also make a difference, and that is what I am going to do on my blog today. On the subject on my blog....

.... I realise that I haven’t blogged very much in the past 2-3 months.

I have been working on some freelance projects as well as trying to focus on myself to improve my well-being. I am still finding it extremely difficult to live on my own, I have good days and bad days but on the whole, I try to keep as busy and active as I can. I try and do more of the things that make me happy, and honestly, I'm still trying to figure what that is.

14 Things That Make Me Happy!

But no matter how busy I have been, that's no excuse to put on the blog on the back burner especially when I have 101 exciting things to blog about! I managed to juggle things in the past even at my busiest time and I'm truly itching to get back in to the routine but you know when you've avoided something for so long and you become overwhelmed at your every-growing to-do list? That's kinda the current sitch of my blog at the moment! I will get back in to a good routine soon...

But as for looking back on the last two months?... What have I been upto? It's time to let go of the negative things that have happened and show you some of the highlights.

Here are just some of the good stuff that have made me happy!
