When buying a new lipstick, one of the main factors for most people is the staying power. I know it's quite annoying when lip colour fades away quickly, but I quite like reapplying and freshening up my look so I don't mind it when a lipstick doesn't last that long. But if you're looking for a lipstick that absolutely will not budge for hours, and hours, AND HOURS, look no further.... Lord & Berry have created THAT lipstick.
I've never tried anything like this before. And infact, when a beauty brand claims that their lip colour last all day long, I'm usually like HM, YEAH YEAH. WHATEVER. I didn't know much about Lord & Berry Timeless Kissproof Lipstick (RRP £14 but currently £9.80 on ASOS) so I applied thick layer of to begin with. I thought "ok, love this shade. Let's try to next one'. When I went to wipe it off, the lipstick was like, tattooed on to me. Once it's set, it does not budge, it doesn't transfer on to anything.
The matte finish liquid lipstick dries and sets a bit like paint! As you can see from the swatch below, it has a consistency of thinned out gouache paint (ok, hear me out!) but don't worry, it won't crack or dehydrate your lips. The lightweight formula features a combination of sesame oil and frankincense essential oil to keep the lips moisturised.
The coverage is FULL. SO FULL. Each shade in this collection is pigmented and vibrant. I have it in shades Bold Red, which is... as you can guess, a bold red! Iconic which is a red-brown. And Muse, a dusty purple-pink that suits all skin tones.
Lord & Berry 2 Phases Waterproof Make-Up Remover
To remove this from skin thoroughly, apply a good quality water based make-up remover. Lord & Berry 2Phases Make-Up Remover (£16.50) is suitable for all skin types and is specially designed for their own Kissproof, Smudgeproof, and Waterproof formulas. Most of you will compare this to the Nivea version, and they are both similar but I would say that the Lord & Berry make-up remover is less oily and melts make-up more efficiently. The Nivea one is great but it smudges make-up over my face as opposed to being extracted by the cotton pad in a couple of quick sweeps.
Lord & Berry are so understated, I would love to know what you think of their products and whether you have any recommendations of your own? As well as these matte lipsticks and make-up remover, I've also been LOVING Lord & Berry's Twistick, which is their version of a lip crayon. Keep your eyes peeled because I'll be reviewing Twisticks on the blog soon!
