Being Deliciously Different – A Style Challenge From Kinder Bueno (Advertorial)

how to style an A-Line skirt, fashion blog uk

I was sooo super excited when I was asked to work with Kinder Bueno on this blogpost because… well, I LOVE eating a Kinder Bueno (who doesn’t?!), they’re my fave chocolates snacks! I love the creamy hazelnut filling and the melt-in-your-mouth chocolate covered wafer –such a great combo. I think anyone would be pretty chuffed to be asked to work with them, and I thought it was cool to accept the challenge because it would be out of my comfort zone (and God knows I need a push!).

Birchbox August 2015 | #BeautyJunkie

birchbox august 2015 emoji edition

Birchbox knows how to keep their customers intrigued and excited! I think that they really know their customers and the whole beauty box subscription marketing, they know what to avoid and they know how to please and that’s why with each month, Birchbox gets better and better.

August’s Birchbox* was absolutely spot on. Opening the parcel to be greeted with a brilliantly designed box covered in colourful little beauty emojis, excitement took over! I got the following five beauty samples plus a sheet of ADORABLE emoji stickers!

London Life: Places I've Eaten

You only need to take one glance at my Instagram account to know that I have eaten A LOT lately and I haven’t regretted it one bit! Ok, maybe I am starting to regret it a little bit now that my jeans are bit tighter than usual… Oh well, I’ll just buy a new pair and go up a size! No biggie!…. Probably need to start joining the gym too, perhaps. But lets not think about that for now!! Ugh, the gym.

the breakfast club in london

A couple of weeks ago when I had a friend visiting and we decided to try some new places. It was so tempting to go back to the usual like Patty & Bun, Jackson & Rye, etc (because they are SO good and we are constantly thinking about it!) but we totally had to try the new places to eat in London. We didn’t go anywhere particularly fancy, but we did want to go somewhere that served good food for a reasonable price. So here are the places that we’ve eaten in London so far.

My Current Wishlist

I am on a spending ban this month and between rent, deposit, agency fees and two moths worth of travel expenses, my bank balance is looking rather bleak! I've been good on my ban so far though, but I am totally lust after EVERYTHING so much more!

I’m going to treat myself once payday comes round, so I decided to put a little wish list together so that I can stick to this list and (somewhat) control my spending! Obvisouly, I’m not going to buy every single on item on here, but I’m probably going to pick 2 or 3 things from it.

1. Rose Gold Lotus Watch from Tesco Watches:
I’m always on the look-out for a rose gold watch that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg! I just want a pretty simple and casual one without the fancy dials and sparky diamantes! One of my favourite watches is from F&F so I decided to see what I could find at Tesco and I came across the branded section. I never thought I’d find a lovely rose gold watch from Tesco but sometimes you just have to think outside the box! This one by Lotus retails at £95, and is really simple and chic.

Coloristiq - The Nail Varnish Monthly Subscription Box

coloristiq nail box

There’s no sign of monthly subscription boxes of phasing out and you can get them in almost everything now! The new kid on the block is… *drumroll*… Coloristiq!

Coloristiq* started out as a nail polish rental service which is a service that sounds great - but renting isn’t my bag! I’m too lazy for rentals, and I never return anything on time! But catching on to the monthly subscription craze, Coloristiq now offer an awesome monthly box of brand new nail polishes to try! I’m guessing that each month will be themed, as the July edition was inspired by Summer Holidays.

Skincare: The Benefits Of Rosewater

Jurlique Balancing Rosewater Mist Intense

What Are The Benefits Of Rosewater?

What's so special about rosewater, then? Why am I so obsessed with it? Why do I currently have 5 bottles of this stuff?!

Rosewater is a new addition to my skincare routine, I’ve been using it for about a year now and Jurlique’s Rosewater Balancing Mist that has been my floral water of choice! When I was told about Jurlique’s Rosewater Balance Mist Intense Limited Edition, I was rather excited to get my hands on it because I know how well it works on my skin.

Love Me Beauty

love me beauty

This box arrived at my flat up north about 2 weeks ago but I only recently got it re-delivered to my new home down south so this was actually July’s edition of Love Me Beauty but better late, than never! Right?!

As far as I know, Love Me Beauty doesn’t base their boxes on a theme so this could have been any month’s! But I'm a happy bunny because the box was nice and heavy from being filled with products! Here is what they chose for me in the month of July, and it’s a good one!

Italian Summer Fig From The Body Shop

Italian Summer Fig From The Body Shop

Italian Summer Fig From The Body Shop

The Body Shop are having a great year so far and I’m sure I’m not the only one when I say that I’ve been really impressed with the direction their going as a brand. Their stores have been refurbished and they’ve had some pretty amazing new launches, including Drops Of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask and the whole of the Vitamin C skincare range - all of which I’ve yet to try (currently got skincare coming out of my ears but the Bouncy Sleeping Mask is on my wish list!).

New for Summer 2015 is Italian Summer Fig* from The Body Shop which is beautifully packaged. I think the packaging is very unlike The Body Shop’s usual style but I welcome the change! I’ve been following their #KissFrenchWearItalian social campaign which focuses on amplifying the newly launch Italian Summer Fig in to the spotlight but also encourages people to discuss their favourite holiday memories (I think that’s the gist of it, anyway!).

Stop And Smell The Roses

As I’ve gotten older, one of the things that I quite like to do is flower arranging! Not that I’m a pro or anything, but there’s something quite therapeutic about flower arrangement! Two weeks ago (maybe even three weeks now), I was offered a bouquet by Debenhams Flowers* and I was allowed to choose from the selection of Summer flowers.

If You Like Rose Scented Products, You're Going To LOVE This!

rose&co rose scented beauty products

Rose & Co. is totally right up my street and I knew this from the very moment I clapped eyes on the beautiful shabby-chic-style packaging. I absolutely adore the whole apothecary, vintage, antique store, country-girl vibe the the company carries. As much as I’ve tried to move away from this type of style and in to something a bit more modern, I am always drawn back to it! I just love how romantic and enchanting it is - and something like this is always a bit different in the world of beauty. It kind of infuses what I love in interior design but in a beauty product.

If you have a look on their beautifully designed website, you get an instant sense of what the brand is all about and there’s such a lovely story behind it. I guess it might be too sickly sweet for some people, but I’m really enticed by the packaging and overall experience of the brand.

Rose & Co. sell a range of bath and body products including bath soak, hand wash, body lotion, hand cream, cupcake soaps and hand-made bath melts! All packaged up in the cutest of ways!

Here are my thoughts on the Rose & Co. products I’ve recently tried:
