Budget Beauty: 7 Skincare Under £5

Before you get too excited, I want to start by saying that Boots are not launching a monthly subscription beauty box - but they really really should, don’t cha think?! It would be incredibly popular and from the feedback I got on Twitter, it would press all the right buttons with beauty fans.

A Foolproof Recipe For The Lightest Chocolate Cake

In the past, I’ve not been very successful in baking chocolate cake. Not even from those pre-mixed packets where all you do is add eggs and water. What could possibly go wrong? I know, right?! But I distinctly remember the last time I baked a chocolate cake, the middle sank and the whole thing ended up as heavy as a brick. You could have killed someone with it. If not by consumption, then be lobbing it right at their head. It was truly inedible.

Not to be disheartened, I decided to try again. I was recommended a recipe for chocolate cake that seemed easy and foolproof (two words I like to hear when it comes to baking!). Kitchenware e-tailer, Silver Mushroom, sent me the dry mixture in a Kilner Jar and all I had to do was add milk, oil and eggs. It can be quite a nice idea to store the dry mixture in Kilner Jars so that if you have a sudden urge to bake, the prep time is reduced! It only took me 5 minutes to prepare and 35 minutes to bake this cake! Of course, if you wish, you can measure everything out as you go along (ingredients listed below). And I can confirm that this time, the chocolate cake went very well! I ended up with a lovely, fluffy, chocolate flavoured sponge!

If you want a quick and easy recipe for a light chocolate cake, here’s one for you to bookmark!

Ingredients:
175g self-raising flour
2tsp cocoa powder
1tsp bicarbonate of soda
150g caster sugar
2 eggs
150ml sunflower oil
150ml semi-skimmed milk
2tsp golden syrup
60g white chocolate (for topping)

1. Sieve the flour, cocoa powder, bicarbonate of soda and add sugar to a bowl

2. In a microwave, warm the golden syrup for 10-20 seconds on low heat

3. Add the eggs, milk, sunflower oil and warmed golden syrup to the bowl

4. Fold the mixture, then beat with large spoon until smooth

5. Pour the mixture in to a cake tin that has been lined with greaseproof paper and bake in the oven for 35 minutes at 180 degrees. Alternatively, you can place the mixture into cupcake cases and bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees.

6. The cake should rise in the oven and it might crack on the top. After 35 minutes, remove cake from oven and wait for the cake to cool. Carefully remove from cake tin.

7. Chocolate Topping (optional): Melt 60g of white chocolate and use a small fork or butter knife to drizzle it over the top of the cake. As you can see from how mine turned out, it doesn't have to look neat!

There we go! That's it! The world's easiest recipe for chocolate cake! I got 16 square out of this but it is of course entirely up to you what you do, it's such a versatile recipe! You can bake it in a round tin and make a pretty decorated cake out of it, or you could go for the cupcake option. Or perhaps slice it in bigger squares and eat it with custard!

Would you like to see anymore baking content on my blog? I think I might be baking gooey brownies and chewy cookies soon, if anyone would be interested in seeing how that goes!

More To Barbour Than Waxed Jackets

Wearing barbour shirt

More To Barbour Than Waxed Jackets

Barbour is famous worldwide for their waxed jackets but did you know that they also offer a wider range of clothing? The navy blue slim fit shirt I’m wearing here is from Barbour and I’ve been wearing this outfit a lot ever since I got the shirt!

You can rely on Barbour for the highest quality manufacturing. The shirt is, of course, extremely well made and incredibly comfortable. There aren’t any loose stitching, faults or anything protruding from the cloth that makes it itchy or scratchy on skin.

High End Sun Care: Is It Worth It?

High End Sun Care: Is It Worth It?

Sun protection is something that’s really high on my list. I’m constantly telling my family to use sun screen, especially my parents, as they spend A LOT time outdoors playing golf. Protect yourself from sun exposure to prevent sun burn, prickly heat, premature ageing of the skin and the risk of developing skin cancer.

There are so many sun care products out there that suits everyones needs, skin type and budget - so there really isn’t any excuse! But if you are as fussy with how lotions feel on skin, it might be worth turning to the high end beauty brands and spend a bit extra on something that gives you peace of mind but also something that you’re happy to use on a regular basis. And if comfort is up there on the list of criteria, look no further than Jurlique.

Jurlique is a brand that I’ve really enjoyed using for the past 6 months. Their beautiful products are potent and effective, but gentle and soothing. Jurlique recently launched their three products in their Sun Specialist range this Summer and I’ve been trying all three out!

My New Favourite Pair Of Heels

black block heel sandals

For someone who’s so short, any pair of shoes that has an ankle straps tends to make my legs look even shorter. But I have been wanting a pair of block heel strappy sandals for ages though, I just have to be a bit picky about finding the perfect pair. Every pair I had bought in the past just didn't look right, the front strap was either been too wide or the ankle strap too thick.

black high heels with a block heel

This black pair from a website called iKrush (shop link) are pretty perfect for me. The heel is the just right height and I love the thin, adjustable ankle straps on them! Most of my shoes are quite chunky so this makes a nice change.

The block heel makes them casual enough to wear during the daytime (if what I'm doing doesn't require much walking, that is!) but they're also quite dressy too and would be great to wear on a night out (sturdy enough for the dance floor!). I can’t wait to wear them on a night out, paired with a dress, trousers or skinny jeans - basically, they go with everything and I'm going to get a lot of wear out of them!

black heels with a block heel

Although the clothes from iKrush are totally not my thing, I do have my eye on several pairs of their shoes, there are so many to choose from! The block heel sandals also come in white too, so I might snap them up when I've got spare cash! At £24.99, I didn't have high expectations but upon first impressions, the overall quality of the shoes looks pretty decent!

A Beginner's Guide To Pinterest: Social Media Tips

Pinterest is one of my favourite social media platform. It’s kind of a weird one to get your head round at first but once you've figured out how to use Pinterest, you'll realise that the beauty of Pinterest is full of inspiration and you really can get quite carried away!

Unlike Twitter or Instagram, which these days, feels very like it has been taken over by brands who use it as a marketing tool or a platform for bloggers and vloggers to portray the best versions of themselves (*hands up* I'm guilty of it!), Pinterest moves away from that.

a beginners guide to pinterest

Social Media Tips | A Beginner's Guide To Pinterest

How you use Pinterest is of course entirely up to you at the end of the day, the same goes for all of the other social media channels. There’s certainly still an element of promotion on Pinterest but the platform is so much more than that. Enjoy it as a platform rather than a promotional tool, and it will all make sense! It’s a friendly, visually pleasing, image based social media platform that absolutely anyone can not only enjoy but feel at ease using.

Consider Pinterest as a virtual scrapbook, a way to store all of your inspiration for your next blogpost or DIY project. Use it to find tips on beauty, cake recipes, party ideas, nail art tutorials, crafts and art, and lots more! You can always rely on Pinterest to inspire you! If you want to start using Pinterest but don't know how, here are a few tips on how you can start! Be prepared to get utterly addicted to Pinning!

NARS Ultimate Lip Pencil Kit

NARS Ultimate lip pencil set

On the 1st July, NARS is launching the Ultimate Lip Pencil Set at Selfridges. Housed in a super gorgeous case that comes with a big enough mirror to do your entire make-up. There are three lip pencils in the set and one lip pencil sharpener. You can sharpen them and use the pencils to line your lips before filling them in with the same shade.

NARS lip pencil set

NARS products are pretty irresistible. There's just something special about them and when you're buying something from NARS, you know that you're getting something that looks great, long lasting and comfortable to wear. This set is no different, you certainly get what you pay for! NARS lipsticks are everything you want and more!

NARS lip pencils

The three lip pencil shades in the set are Biscayne Park, Sex Machine and Stourhead. Two are satin finish and the other is a matte velvet - but all three are really creamy and lightweight. It's not sticky or greasy, it's so comfortable to wear, it doesn't even feel like you're wearing a lip product.

NARS lipstick swatches in biscayne park, stourhead and sex machine

Biscayne Park (top swatch) is a medium peach brown. Usually, nudes wash my complexion out but as Biscayne Park is a warm tone with a satin finish, I think it's a nice nude shade for olive skin tones.

Stourhead (middle swatch) is a cool lilac toned pale pink with a satin finish. It's too pale for my complexion but if you can pull off a pale pink, you'll love this, it's really pretty!

Sex Machine (bottom swatch) is deep pink-mauve with a velvet matte finish. Like with all mattes, your lips need to be in a good condition before applying this but it's not like any other matte lip products that I've ever tried, it's so creamy and moisturising once it's on.

I'm gutted that Stourhead is too pale for me but the other two shades suit my skin tone and they are what I describe as 'Kylie Jenner' shades. The brown, beige nudes that are so popular right now and I can't wait to get in on that trend with these NARS lip pencils!

NARS Ultimate Lip Pencil Set is available to buy from Selfridges from 1st July
RRP: £29

Fashion Blog: Should I Start Doing Outfit Posts Again?

It has been so long since I did a proper outfit post, it feels strange and I don't know why. My fashion blog started to grow in the instant that I began to post about my personal style and for a long time, I was really enjoying it. I found fashion blogging exciting and fun, but then after a while, I kind of lost myself, my confidence and my sense of style.

It's funny what looking at photos of yourself can do to you. You notice your flaws, flaws you can't change, flaws you're just going to have to learn to embrace. I started to feel uncomfortable with it all, like, I cringe so much when I look at my photos - I don't feel like I'm cool or interesting enough to blog about fashion or show my outfits. Instead of brewing in negativity about it though, I shifted the focus away from myself and threw my energy into beauty blogging instead. And that's exactly what I did.

Fun, Convenient Products For Skin And Body

I like Anatomicals products but I'm not always keen on their packaging. Nevertheless, I actually think the product themselves are actually quite good and they smell great! I've tried several things from the range before and have always really enjoyed them. All the cool shops stock them (Topshop, Urban Outfitters, ASOS to name a few) so they're definitely doing something right! And the best thing about Anatomicals is the price, they're affordable and pretty darn decent in quality too!

Skin Care

For the fun factor, these colourful sachets are great for a girly night in, or to take with you on your travels for the convenience - because no-one wants to take a weekly full size product that you're only going to use that once or twice when you're on your jolly hols! These sachets will do nicely and from £1.00 each, these weekly face treatments are really affordable and don't require much effort.

Admittedly, I wouldn't replace it with my usual face scrubs and masks but I think they're great as a one-off for at the end of a long day when you can't be bothered to go through a long and strenuous deep clean routine. And as I said, they're good for your travels as it doesn't hoard up the space in your luggage.

Each packet contains enough for one use and there are several other options including a mattifying face mask, chocolate scented anti-stress face mask, deep cleansing mud mask and the following ones that I'm about to show you.

I can't find much information about them and how they work, apart from what I can see on the back of the packet. But to be honest, for such an affordable price, I don't think it has a complex formula, they're basic, straight-forward, and pretty self-explanatory.

Apricot Face Scrub* (£1.49) is a scrub to refine, polish and remove dead skin cells to transform dull, lacklustre face in to a smoother, brighter one. It has sweet mango for it's deep cleansing properties, crushed apricot kernals to lightly polish skin and aloe vera to soften, soothe, and moisturise.

Tropical Hydrating Face Mask(£1.00) helps hydrate and boost moisture in dry and dehydrated skin. It's made with fresh coconut water combined with papaya, pineapple extract, cocoa seed butter and soybean extract.

Anti-Blemish Face Mask* (£1.00) unclogs blocked pores and prevents break-outs. The mask has tea tree oil which is an effective ingredient to combat blemishes. There's also sage oil and evening primrose oil to help calm redness and irritation.

Hand and Body Moisturisers

Night Time Hand Cream(£3.99) - A rich, creamy hand cream made from softening ingredients such as avocado. I really like it, it's very softening and it smells really good, like shea butter and cucumber! If I was to pick my favourite product out of this lot, it would be this hand cream. If your hands have been a hard day's work, treat them to this Night Time Hand Cream treatment which only cost £3.99!

Coconut and Mango Body Lotion*(£3.99) This smells really good as you can imagine! It's fruity and tropical, a great reminder that Summer is just around the corner! And as it is so close, I'll be prepping my skin with a lot of body lotion. Literally going to slather it on! (Winter hasn't been good to me!!).

You can buy anatomicals products from ASOS, Urban Outfitters and Superdrug. Let me know what your thoughts are and if you've used anything from anatomicals that I need to try!

A Beauty Box Where YOU Pick The Contents!

Sometimes, beauty boxes can be very disappointing and underwhelming but when you can choose your own contents, it's a win-win situation! Of course, there's still an option to receive a box filled with a random mix of products but the unique thing about Love Me Beauty that makes them stand out is that you can pick all 5 items yourself from a monthly beauty menu and as you can tell, June's box includes some big brands like Elemis and Nails Inc.

best beauty box uk

The interesting thing is that everyone's box will be unique to them, there are so many different combinations. I got the random mix selection and when the parcel arrived, the contents were a completely surprise but I am super pleased with everything, it is a great box! In the June edition of Love Me Beauty*, I received six beauty items and one make-up bag which is a bonus!

elemis skincare and body products

There was 3 Elemis products in there; British Botanical Shower Cream, Pro-Collagen Marine Cream Ultra Rich and Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm. I am quite intrigued by the balm, I wonder if it's a moisturiser or if it's more like a primer. I need to look in to it!

I'm going to give the Pro-Collagen Marine Cream Ultra Rich to my mum because that's what she uses and she's going to love the mini tube. I think it's going to be too rich for me, I feel like it's going to overwork my skin and break me out. I need to use light and gentle formulas at the moment otherwise my skin becomes too oily. And as this is actually labelled as 'Ultra Rich' on the packaging, I think I'll give it a miss. Not to say that it's a bad product, it totally isn't, it's just not suitable for me right now.

The British Botanical shower cream is great, I love Elemis bath and body products. This one has a soothing and aromatic blend of lavender, chamomile, geranium, palmarosa and echium oil to hydrate and nourish skin.

nails inc gel effect polish

I was super excited to see these two bottles of Nails Inc. polishes in the box! They are both gel effect and in the new style bottles. I've tried the gel range before and they're awesome - full coverage and ultra shiny.

St James is a bright, vibrant red and Soho Place is a beautiful aqua shade. I've been wanting an aqua for ages so I can't wait to apply this! They are full sized and are usually £15 per bottle.

realine frown line patches

This one's a unique one! This is Realine Beauty Frown Line Patches. It's a small box but there are 30 patches in there and the patches are hypoallergenic polyethylene adhesive film. I don't have much of an issue with frown lines so I'm not sure how useful these are to me, but if I was ever worried about it, I know that there's a way to reduce the appearance of them!

I was skeptical at first but after reading some information on them, it does seem to work! You apply the patch on clean skin over taut skin and leave on overnight. This is full size and one box costs £28.

To subscribe to Love Me Beauty, visit their website.
Each month cost £10 (plus £3.95 P&P)

7 Deadly Skin Sins & Skincare Solutions

holistic skincare

Apart from the fact that the 100% natural skin care products work pretty much immediately, my other favourite thing about Antonia Burrell Holistic Skincare is that Antonia herself seems to be a very hands on boss. As a trusted skincare expert, Antonia is often happy to chat about troublesome skin problems, answer questions about skincare, and sharing tips on how to maintain healthy skin.

Her latest advice comes in the form of 7 Deadly Skin Sins and how we can reverse these bad habits to benefit from a good, solid skincare routine. I thought it was really interested and I wanted to share them with you.

Holiday Clothes That You Can Actually Wear Every Summer

Buying clothes for a Summer holiday is both exciting and stressful. Exciting because it’s the lead up to your holiday and you’re going to look amazing! But stressful because you’re parting with a chunk of money on clothes you might only wear once.

The latter sounds stupid and such a waste of money, but honestly, there’s no point in denying it, it’s just what happens! It has happened to me throughout the years, where I buy a few items of trendy clothes that doesn't stand the test of time. Or clothes that are cheap and made from flimsy fabric that it just falls apart by the end of your trip.

But y’know, wearing your vibrant, floaty items of clothing in England just isn’t the same as when you wore it in sunny, tropical Spain. It just isn’t hot enough back at home! The weather is too unpredictable and that kaftan isn’t going to go with your duffle coat. Nope. And you'd think you’d be able to just dig it back out of storage for your next holiday, but by then, everything just looks dated and out of fashion, and you get yourself into that ‘I’ve got nothing to wear’ mindset. You girls know where I'm coming from!

holiday wear, where to buy clothes for your holiday

It’s very easy to get caught up in the moment though, to save up and spend a load of money on fresh, brightly coloured holiday wear – and why not! We all want to look nice and feel special on that holiday we worked so hard for! You deserve it!

However, through the years, I’ve learnt to be less frivolous and more sensible with the situation (aren’t I a bundle of JOY!). I’ve started to gather inspiration for holiday wear on Pinterest, to give myself a head start on what to look for when I’m shopping for holiday clothes.

After having a look through EspritI found some timeless designs that you could enjoy wearing on several holidays, and also back home in England too! From past experience, Esprit designs are not only timeless but they're always really well made too - so you will be able to dig these back out of storage and wear them Summer after Summer without worrying it will fall apart at the seams! Win-win!

14 Coconut Scented Beauty Products

I love coconut scented beauty products, it always reminds me of Summer and it doesn’t get much more Summery than the fragrance of coconuts! After having a browse for some coconut scented products, I decided to put a blogpost together on what I’ve found because let me tell you, there aren’t as many beauty products that smells like coconut as you’d think! (Or at least not enough of it, anyway!)

Coconut - or coconut oil to be precise - seems to be THE key ingredient of the moment. There are so many health benefits from coconuts, it's such a versatile ingredient that can be taken as an oil, water, sugar, flour and milk. When used in beauty products, coconuts have a very hydrating, moisturising and antioxidant properties.

Here are 14 beauty products from brands that I have tried and like! (shopping links below the pic)

11 Products To Try For Dull, Damaged Hair

hair care recommendations for dull dry hair

Usually, I hate blogging about hair products because I find it boring and I feel that no one wants to read about hair products? I don’t know, I could be wrong but recently, due to a damaged hair crisis, I’ve been focusing on hair products and I have been trying so many new things in hope that some of the products will work to repair my dull, damaged hair.

I don’t know why my hair is in such a bad way at the moment, it could be one of the cheap shampoos that I’ve been using, maybe the at-home hair dye kits or perhaps general lack of vitamins - probably all three, actually!

While I lay off the DIY dye kits for now and getting myself on the right vitamin supplements, I’ve been trying a few a lot of different hair products lately. The idea is to eventually whittle it down and invest in some high quality, high performance products for a simple but effective routine, but recently, I’m putting in a lot of time in to my hair.

Apart from my regular weekday washes, I’m spending one day a week to give my hair a bit of TLC. From pre-shampoo conditioners, shampoo, vinegar rinse, hair mask, deep treatments, oil treatments and blow dry, I’ve been spending about a strenuous 3-4 hours (it’s mostly the waiting around for the hair mask to do it’s magic) every weekend to help restore my hair to a better condition. It's something I should have been doing already… better late than never?…maybe?

Liz Earle Jasmine and Osmanthus Cleanse & Polish - Limited Edition

Ever since I heard about the Liz Earle limited edition Jasmine and Osmanthus Cleanse and Polish, I've been seeing the word 'Osmanthus' pop up all over the place! It's kind of freaky when that happens, right?! It must be the key ingredient of the moment, the trendy new kid on the block!

Liz Earle Jasmine and Osmanthus Cleanse & Polish

Liz Earle's Jasmine and Osmanthus Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser (shop link) is going to be available at their stockist and online from the 25th June and I've managed to get hold of a bottle so that I can tell you what it's like! Whenever there's a limited edition Cleanse and Polish, I like to stock up and buy 2 or 3 at a time.

Liz Earle Jasmine and Osmanthus Cleanse & Polish

Even though I've grown to love the original a lot, I absolutely love that they surprise us with new limited edition scents every now and then, it's such a treat! So far, there has been Rose and Lavender (my fave!), Grapefruit & Patchouli, and Orange Flower & Chamomile.

The new one captures the precious beauty of opulent jasmine blossoms with a sweet, warmth note of osmanthus petals. The scent isn't as overpowering as the original so if you find that one a bit strange (like I first did), then you might be glad to hear that the scent of the limited edition Jasmine and Osmanthus isn't as strong. You're not going to be disappointed! It smells really floral, subtle and uplifting - it's a beautiful scent that isn't going to offend anyone. I first tried it on the back of my hand and couldn't stop smelling it afterwards (bit weird?!), I think it's the best one yet, and it might even replace the Rose and Lavender as my new favourite!

Liz Earle Jasmine and Osmanthus Cleanse & Polish

The naturally active ingredients in the Cleanse And Polish (shop link) are cocoa butter to soften, soothe and moisturise. While rosemary and chamomile soothes and tones. It nurtures the skin with the unchanged gentle, moisturising formula, and lightly exfoliates to remove all traces of dirt and make-up without that horrible stripping and tightening sensation.

You can buy this from 25th June, it will be available in stockists (Boots, John Lewis and Fenwick) or directly from the Liz Earle website. Prices start at £20.75 for a 100ml bottle but it's also available in the 150ml size too (as pictured) with the option to buy it with or without the pure cotton muslin cloths.

I wrote about Liz Earle Cleanse And Polish earlier on in the week so if you'd like to read more about what it is and how to use it, please give it a little read!

Festival Beauty Essentials: Body Spray and Dry Shampoo

Festival Beauty Essentials body spray

Every 90's girl remembers these body sprays! Through my adolescence, my friends and I were obsessed with So...? and Impulse, we'd sprayed them all day long during break time, lunch time, after P.E and home time! I don't know why we loved them so much, but body sprays were our must-have beauty item, a school bag essential! It was just the trendy thing to have!

Throughout the years, I grew up and moved on to 'fancier' things (designer perfumes and make-up) and So...? eventually faded out of my life. But it seems like girls all over the world have shared the same appreciation for these affordable, sweet smelling body sprays because for the past 20 years, So...? have only gone from strength to strength and have won several beauty awards. Go, them!!

Festival Beauty Essentials body spray

It doesn't matter how old I am, if I was going to a festival or camping, or any where that requires being away from my home comforts, I'll always turn to brands like So...?. They're inexpensive, easy to use, and convenient, and it doesn't matter if you lose it or it runs out after 3 days.

With the Isle of Wight Festival starting this week, festival season is in full swing and if you need a body fragrance and dry shampoo kit - check out the So...? Fresh-tival survival kit (£4.99) containing two mini cans of each.

Beauty Trend: Will You Be Trying The Lip Ombre?

Just when we thought that the ombre trend was dead in the water, it gets dragged back up every now and then. The beauty industry has breathed new life in to the ombre trend and even my mum's heard about it this time around! 'It's all the rage in Korea' she tells me as we're hovering over the lipsticks at the beauty counters looking for a new shade for her. 'Have you seen it? Y'know, it's when your lips are two different colours'. She means ombre.

The lip ombre trend has actually been around for a year now, and from what I can remember when the trend first emerged, the idea was to put a single colour of lipstick, pigmented gloss or a stain in the inner part of your lips and blended outwards to get a subtle gradient. When it's done well, it should give the illusion of fuller looking lips. But if it's done badly, it can makes you look a bit ill - like your lips are lacking in colour.

korean lip ombre beauty trend
You can use a single colour or two shades - whatever you've got in your make-up bag. But if you want get the lip ombre right in two easy steps, Topshop are selling four different Lip Ombre sets with two complementing shades in each one for a more dramatic effect. At first, I thought they were two balmy lip stains and one part of me thought "Awesome! Two lip colours for the price of one!" and the other part of me I wondered why anyone would buy this when you could just use two lipsticks you've already got.

But actually, the top pan is a highly pigmented balm for the base, and the bottom pan a cream-to-powder for dabbing on to the centre of the lips. I think that having the two different textures will help beginners (like me coz I don't want ill-looking lips) to achieve the right looking gradient.

Topshop have 4 Lip Ombre sets available (Perplex, Astound, Baffle, and Curious) and you can buy them in store or online for £9.00 each.

Is this a beauty trend you'll be trying this Summer?

Liz Earle 20th Anniversary Cleanse And Polish

liz earle cleanse and polish special edition

A very happy birthday to Liz Earle! The company celebrates it's 20th Anniversary this year and have launched a few limited editions of their classic products! The formulas remain the same, the packaging is just jazzed up a bit!

I had no idea that Liz Earle has been around for 20 years, I only wish I had known about them sooner! I first heard about Liz Earle on social media, through beauty blogs and then Twitter. It wasn't as widely available as it is today but I'm super glad to see that the brand is more accessible now. Liz Earle is one of my favourite skincare brands - it's right at the top along with Balance Me, Jurlique and REN - and I've been using their products for 4 years now. I must have tried everything in their skincare range now but the one I always go back to is Cleanse and Polish.

Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish is a cult beauty classic, and it's completely worthy of the 100+ beauty awards that it has received. It has been one product that has changed my life! I've tried other cleansers but I always go back to the original Cleanse and Polish, nothing else clears up my skin like it. I've been trying to get my mum, my sisters, and even my dad in to using it! (I've bought him a bottle for Father's Day!)

If you're not familiar with the cleanser, it's basically a creamy texture that is applied on to face. You massage the cleanser for a couple of minutes before wiping it away with a hand hot cloth in a light polishing motion.

The cleanser comes with two muslin cloths which are very soft and gentle on skin. The cleanser removes make up and dirt leaving skin clean and smooth. One of my favourite things about it is that is gentle enough to use around the eyes so you can dissolve stubborn eye make-up and remove everything in one go. No faffing about with eye make-up remover and cotton pads!

The 150ml Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish is now available in a 20th Anniversary edition. The formula remains the same but the bottle comes in a limited edition drum canister. There are three designs to choose from, and each one is inspired by the botanical ingredients used in the cleanser. Mine is the Eucalyptus design but there's also a Chamomile and a Rosemary.

The 150ml bottle lasts for approximately 5 months so it's great value for money. I've stocked up and have 4 bottles of it at home, so I'm pretty much set for the 20 months or so! You can never have too many!

...There's also a limited edition launching at the end of the month which I'll be blogging about in a couple of days, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Here are the other limited edition products and sets available in the 20th Anniverary range (whilst stock lasts):
