As soon as I saw the launch of The Body Shop Spa Of The World range, I knew I had to check it out. The spa-like packaging design has a great premium feel to it and with names like African Ximenia Scrub, Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil and Moroccan Rhassoul Body Clay, the products themselves sound very exotic and luxurious! It has 100% enticed me and now I’m hooked!
Like most of the things I’ve been trying from The Body Shop lately, this collection has surprised me. It’s so very unlike The Body Shop but I appreciate the daring change of direction, I think the brand needed it and the risk has paid off.
THE BODY SHOP SPA OF THE WORLD
The Body Shop’s Spa Of The World Collection (shop link) is made up of bath milk, creams, body scrubs, body clays and massage oils. All the things you need to treat your body to a luxurious pamper session. I’ve been trying the Egyptian Milk and Honey Bath, and also the African Ximenia Scrub. It doesn’t translate well in the visuals but the tub of body scrub is humongous! It cost £20 but it will last you at least half a year!
I'm not sure what I think about the scent, I don't love it but I also don't hate it. The fragrance reminds me of being in the open countryside, that scent of fresh air, the nature, and earth. The texture of the scrub is nice and thick with a good amount of scrubby particles in each handful. It massage comfortably into your skin for a smooth, silky finish.
The Egyptian Milk & Honey Bath (shop link) is pretty unique. It’s a powder which you sprinkle in the tub when you’re running a bath. It smells sweet and creamy, but I find you need to add quite a few scoops in order to strengthen the fragrance but no matter how much you put in, the powder turns the water in to a 'milk' (ie. creamy white water). The packet won’t last long but I would suggest using a bit of your usual bubble bath and then add a couple of scoops of the Milk & Honey bath, just to add a bit of a luxurious touch!
