Monday Cat Face #2

CONE OF SHAME! There's nothing wrong with him, he's just nibbled himself a bald patch (just the one isolated patch) so the vets have put one of these on him to stop the habit! This was last week so the cone has been taken off now and he's been given pills for his hair to grow back quicker! There's three photos of him in this week's blog post, just to show you that he's ok and back to his lively self! x

Topshop Floral Tunic

Tunic (worn as a dress) Topshop / Biker Jacket ASOS / Jewellery T:S / Bag Mulberry

One of my favourite outfits recently, and one you may have seen before from my Alnwick Castle post. When I wear tunics or oversized tops as a dress like this one, it gives the illusion that I'm taller than I am! Bit of trickery! I also love that it's loose-fitting too! It's about time I got all my knitwear out, though. I've been cocooned in my new Primark snood for most of the week!

My hair here is curled with the Enrapture Totem Styler tool, I've forgotten what setting it is now! I think it was 1-1-1 or 2-1-1. I'm still trying out different styles! I've heard that it is currently on sale for £29.99 from Boots... I haven't actually checked yet, though! I'm going out today so I'll pop in and have a look! I have been wanting to do a post on the Enrapture hair tool, not that there needs to be another one in the blogosphere - some people are quite sceptical about things but I can confirm that it's worth the money! I think I was worried that I would be, yet again, spending money on something that doesn't work on me. My hair is really thick and not very versatile at all but I've always wanted bouncy and wavy hair and I've tried SO many hair tongs, curling methods, "curl-lasting" products - nothing ever worked until now! Like, how annoying is it when you spend over an hour curling your hair for a night out and use up a whole can of hairspray only for it all to go flat after 30 minutes of leaving the house! (Girl problems!)

Don't forget to visit the blog tomorrow for a second fix of Oscar's weekly blogpost! Every Mondays! If you can't wait though, I have updated my instagram with lots more cat photos! My user name on instagram is tempsec

Illustrated Aladin Zane / Ziggy Stardust T-shirt from Hero&Cape / White Peter Pan collar top Topshop / Black Ribbon River Island / Nail Polish Sea Breeze from 17 Cosmetics / Leather Jacket ASOS / Jewellery T:S

You may have seen this already because the new Hero&Cape collection launched weeks ago! I did a design for them last year which was this peter pan collar t-shirt with a black ribbon necktie that I have made as a detachable brooch. I thought I would play it safe back then and go for something simple but fashionable. This year, I was asked to do one t-shirt for them and I pitched to them a collection of "Illustrated Heroes/Icons*" tees. I sketched Lady Gaga, John Lennon, Debbie Harry, Zooey Deschanel and a few others that didn't make it. My David Bowie illustration was chosen and it is now available to buy on the Hero&Cape clothing website. At the moment, it's only available in grey with a shimmery gold print. The cotton is really soft and comfortable, and if you're in to baggy t-shirts, then do check out Hero&Cape. We're working on a few different colourways on the classic white tshirt, it's just a case of deciding which one to release. I think that the Illustrated Heroes will eventually be launched next year, I just need to improve on some of the drawings and ensure it's all completely suitable for screen printing. If you have a favourite pop culture icon, let me know in the comments and you might just see it drawn on a t-shirt in the Spring!

The A/W photo shoot took place over 2 days during the middle of Summer, and I've been lucky enough to style the new range which you can view in the A/W 12 lookbook. We wanted to show that T-Shirts can be fashionable! I even wore mine on a night out a few months ago with disco pants, black clutch bag and lots of accessories! The team at Hero&Cape have asked me to work with some very stylish bloggers in bringing you a "How To Style A T-Shirt" feature, I'm just waiting for the others to post theirs and I should have the content put together very soon!

Oversized Topshop Jumper

Jumper and black leggings TopShop / Hairband* Little Fille

Although this heart print jumper is really cute (and most expensive out of all the knitwear I've purchased recently), I have to say that it isn't the most comfortable. It's part mohair, and I must be allergic to it because it brings me up in a rash! I find it itchy and prickly and I was going to return it but it's not too bad when I'm wearing a top underneath it! I just love the oversized style, and the repeat heart print. ....Maybe I should have done the right thing and returned it, though! Especially seeing as there's only two more paydays until Christmas!!

Monday Cat Face #1

Exotic Short hair cat

This is a new and regular feature that I'll be doing where I post one photo of Oscar every Monday because let's face it, Monday's need brightening up! It's got nothing to do with fashion/style or beauty products but you all love him just as much as I do! Hopefully, I will remember to do them every week! HAPPY MONDAY! x

Vintage Hen Party | Hen Party Ideas

As far as hen parties go, this was one of the most civilised one (just how I prefer them!). This vintage themed hen party started off with a tea party and ended up with a wine tasting experience, with a few hen-party-esque antics in between!

For this special occasion, we all got dressed up in our best vintage clothing to celebrate my friend, Natalie's last few days of being "single". The girls put so much effort in to organizing it and it all looked so amazing from the moment we arrived through to the end of the night. The whole thing was arranged by Diane (in the pretty polka dot halterneck) and Jade (in the gorgeous burgandy blouse and floral skirt) and full praise goes to their organisational skills because the whole day and evening went smoothly and everyone had a great time!

We met up during the day for a vintage themed afternoon tea which was really lovely, and got our hair and/or make up done by Elizabeth Peat. It wasn't until I arrived that I realised I didn't have the right lens for the my camera. I must've packed my bag about 5 times during the week so I was very annoyed and embarrassed with myself that I swapped lens last minute and forgot to put the standard one back on! I managed to get a few snaps, but everything is very zoomed in as I only had the fixed lens with me!

After having our afternoon tea, we got ready in to our vintage style outfits (my dress is from topshop, I didn't have anything vintage, I sold it all on eBay several years ago when I needed a bit of money for Uni!) and then we met up with a few others guests for the evening and we went wine tasting, ate canapes and pizza! Yum!

It was a sophisticated hen party and we also got to learn a thing or two about wine, it was actually really interesting and I wanted them to tell us more! It was lovely to see everyone and it was great that so many hens came out for Nat, I even got to reunite with an school friend whom I hadn't seen in 11 years! It was the first Hen Party I've ever been to, Diane and Jade has set the standard high! We hope Natalie had an amazing night! x
