Dress and shoes* Miss Ikon / Jewellery T:S

Cute dress with cute ballet pumps reminds me of Zooey Deschanel in New Girl! I can't wait for that to come out on DVD! This dress with the cute print is from a website called Miss Ikon and it comes in grey (£19.99) and a mint green colour. I don't know why but the green one is £9.99 - bargain! I don't know what the difference is between the green one and the one I've got on now, they look the same to me!

I struggled to get a photo of myself wearing the shoes! I actually looked at Oscar wishing he could take a photo for me! Have been wearing heels all of last week for various reasons, one of which were for a photo shoot and I was in heels for the entire day. HURTS.SO.BAD. Was very happy to spend the bank holiday in my new ballet pumps and fluffy slippers!

Dress* Daniella Christina / Clutch Bag New Look / Collar Necklace T:S

Danielle Christina is a fashion label that base their designs on sophistication and vintage inspirations. The clothes are designed, cut, and sewn in-house so they are offering bespoke pieces for high street prices (similar price points as Coast, Zara or Reiss). The designer at Daniella Christina has made this dinner dress for me and as I have learnt to design, pattern cut and sew garments in many years at college and university, I really appreciated the time and effort that has gone in to one piece like this beautiful dress. Although I enjoyed pattern cutting and sewing, I also found it very stressful - the final part of sewing (such as putting a zip in) frustrates me so much that I often rush it or give up! I don't have the patience with it so I'm always in awe of someone who can do this day in day out.

I think the model on the website is wearing the dress a million times better than me, she is more womanly and therefore suits the dress. I am in my late 20's but due to my height and size, I feel like I can't pull off "mature clothes" such as a dinner or cocktail dress as well as those who are the same age as me. I'm ok with that though, because it's not like I wear clothes like this everyday, these outfits are for special one-off occassions! However, I'm already panicking a little bit about being a bridesmaid for a wedding next year, I'm really worried about trying to look comfortable and confident in a posh frock! Anyway, I have styled this Daniella Christina dress with a peter pan collar necklace and nipped it in with an elasticated clasp belt to make it more "me" :) The necklace is from the tempsec shop, it will be available on the website soon! - we have shot the new product photos, and I'm just working through them to get them online in the next fortnight!

Playsuit* Lashes of London / Bag ASOS / Hair curled with Enrapture Totem Styler

When I saw this playsuit, I knew I wanted to make it mine! It's a halterneck which you can see more clearly on their website. It's so cute and I love it! It's from a new brand called Lashes Of London. They've recently launched with an S/S 12 range but have told me they've got big plans for A/W collection, I can't wait to see more! Here is where you can view the latest lookbook to get more a vibe of the brand and what they have got to offer on Lashes Of London. There's currently 10% off with promotional code LASHES10 and it's free delivery for orders over £50! I really love the playsuit the most and hope to see more designs like this.

I am working on a new project this week and I will tell you more about it when I can. I'm collaborating with a independent fashion brand and it's the first of two exciting projects that I'm working on through the rest of the summer. The first photoshoot is on Wednesday and the second is booked for end of this month but I'm so excited and I already can't wait to show you the images (when they're done). I'm feeling the pressure already and I know I will get really nervous when I get there! Hopefully, I can report back to you all at the end of the month to say it has gone well. Will keep you posted!

Today has been the biggest waste of time, I've sat around watching tv and having a quick nap. I haven't been able to sit still, I feel like I have so much to do and I shouldn't be sitting and watching tv but I've got a headache and I can't cope with looking at the computer screen any longer this weekend! On that note, I shall love and leave ya! x

Cakestand* from dotcomgiftshop / Teacup from Kirsty Allsop for M&S / Food purchased from M&S and Sainsbury's!

At the start of June, during Jubilee weekend, we had a quick lunch in the sunshine (as shown here) and that was when I was hopeful that we would get a nice Summer with hot weather. I was excited for countless of barbeques, tea breaks in the garden and pub lunches in beer gardens. How wrong was I! I feel like I am constantly talking about the weather in real life and on my blog! Anyway, so, it rained throughout July, and August doesn't look too bright either! I took advantage of the sunny weather last week to sit in the garden for cake, tea and chitchat! The lovely team at dotcomgiftshop sent me this three-tier cake stand from the Regency range and when it arrived, I was so eager to put it together straight away and start filling it up with yummy stuff! I posted an instagram of it and got lots of tweets from those who wanted to know where I got it from. I am happy to recommend dotcomgiftshop because I feel like many of you all share my love for quirky and unique homeware! I don't have my own house (yet) but I can't wait to fill it up with lots of things from dotcomgiftshop! My favourite section are the kitchen products!

When I finished assembling the cake stand, my mum and I both said, in unison, "ooh, I've always wanted one of these!" - I am so happy to finally have one and I've been using it at every opportunity! I've hardly put on a traditional "high tea", I just put out what ever I had in the house and luckily, we'd been shopping the day before otherwise it would've just been strawberries and crisps, and possibly cream crackers! The stand makes anything look attractive, even dry cream crackers! It's really pretty and the plates are all different in shape, size and colour. The bottom one is square, the middle one is scalloped-edged and the top tier is round. For biscuit lovers, check out this stand, HOW AMAZING IS IT!!!

Galaxy Print Dress

Dress* from Jolie Moi / Bag New Look / Jewellery T:S / Nail Polish Bubblegum by Models Own

I'm dressed in my Sunday slacks today but this is an outfit I wore over the weekend. It's another one from Jolie Moi and as I mentioned in my last outfit post, they have a few galaxy print clothing which will be a hit with some of you! I'm short (5ft) and this dress is way above the knee but I would say it's the right length for shorty old me, but if you're taller, it will look more like it does on the Jolie Moi model (proper mini dress). As well as this green one, it also comes in a cream colour too.

I've not done my hair here, I was running late (nothing new there!) . I always get changed first and do my make up second, then finally do my hair so it doesn't go flat by the time I leave the house! I finally purchased the Enrapture Totem Hair Tool because I saw tweets that it's on sale, and I love a good bargain! I bought it for just under £38 (it is usually £74.99). I bought mine from Argos but if you want free delivery, I would check out Amazon too. I've been playing it safe and using it on setting 1-1-1 for loose curls and I really like it but I've yet to try it out on different style settings. I didn't realise how hot it got, my old curling tongs didn't get as hot as this, and I managed to burn my hand on the Totem Tool on my first go! :(

Thank you to everyone who entered the competition. It is really nice to be able to give away such a brilliant prize. I got over 2,000 collective entries and the winner selected at random was Sheri Matthews who has now received her new ghd hairdryer!

How excited are we for the Olympics Closing Ceremony? I can't wait to see The Spice Girls! I'm off to dust off my ol' Buffalo platforms ready for a good nostalgic boogie... they were dancing shoes of choice in the '90s! GIRL POWER! Kapow! x
