I am super happy to tell you that Essie Nails are now available in Boots and Superdrug across the UK! Hurrah! SO MANY SHADES TO CHOOSE FROM!

I love Essie nail polishes because they have an amazing range of colours, but they also have some great treatments, base coats and top coats too. So I am pleased that Essie nails are expanding and you can now browse and purchase their range in UK stores!

The best pink essie nail polish, essie mint candy apple

Previously, Essie Nails were an exclusive salon brand only. Their polishes have always promised high quality and professional manicure application which were usually priced at £9.95 per bottle but their newly launched "At-Home" range is available on our high street drug stores for £7.99. Their At-Home formulas are quick to dry and the large, flat brush make it easy to apply.

They're chip resistant up to 5 days but I find that they can sometimes peel off from the edges quite easily if your hands have been immersed in water for a while, for example when you've been washing the dishes or having a hot bubble bath. Resist peeling (because it's satisfyingly therapeutic) and the polish will last without chips for several days.

My favourites shades are-

Fifth Avenue
A bright and glossy red with orange undertones. Quite a vibrant and classic red.

Merino Cool
This is a purply brown with a hint of grey. It's officially described as an Autumn Mulberry. A lovely soft  and cool colour for Autumn and Winter.

Midnight Cami
A gorgeous deep twilight blue with a shimmer that reflects with a shine when it hits the light.

Meet Me At Sunset
A warm and vibrant deep orange.

Mint Candy Apple
Popular Essie shade, Mint Candy Apple is a creamy and opaque pastel green.

Ballet Slippers
A really pretty sheer pink, it really does remind me of the silk of my old ballet slippers.

Peach Daquiri
This is probably my favourite out of the bunch! Peach Daquiri isn't peach at all, I'm not detecting a hint of peach or orange. Pretty sure I'm not colour blind but Peach Daquiri is a glossy watermelon pink.

First Base Coat
This base coat has a rubber adhesive to bond the polish to nails. It protects your nails completely from staining, no matter how dark or bright your polish is. It also smooths your nails so your polish goes on perfectly free from streaks!

Good To Go Top Coat
I LOVE this top coat because it's touch-dry within 30 seconds and it seals the nail polish with a uber shiny gloss.

What are you favourite Essie shades and which ones should I add to my collection?

April edition GLOSSYBOX - Natural and Organic Beauty Box

It was such a surprise to receive the latest edition of Glossybox because none of us expected another themed box. There was no hype like the Valentines Day or Harrods Edition so the fact that it was sprung on us made it a welcome surprise! In my previous post, I was just writing about how I am becoming increasingly more interested in natural and organic beauty products, so this feel like it has come at the right time.

The box itself is 100% biodegradable and it is a nice touch from Glossybox that fits in to the whole theme, I think this was well thought out. As usual, we received five deluxe sized samples and I am pleased with everything I got apart from the Monu Collagen Cream only because this states it is for dry, very dry or dehyrdated skin. My skin type is normal/combination so if I use the collagen cream, would it make my skin more oily as the product looks to be extra hydrating? I've only just sorted my skin out with new products that seems to be working for me so am really cautious about using something new on my face without consultation.

The other items are Caudalie serum, Inika organic eyeliner in black, Figs and Rouge lip balm in cherry and vanilla, and last but not least, my favourite Burt's Bees milk and honey body lotion. I recently purchased lots of Burt's Bees products and I was eyeing the body lotion up but as I went for cleanser, toner and exfoliater, I ran out of money so had to put the lotion back! This is definitely a happy addition to my collection! Some have complained that there's too many moisturiser and lotions - I received three in the last box - but I like them and much prefer to have lots of moisturisers than perfume samples. I'll be using 4 out of 5 products until it all runs out, so all in all, a successful box in my opinion! I'm always interested in reading Glossybox reviews and comparing opinions so feel free to let me know if you have blogged about it and I'll check it out! Also, if anyone has a favourite natural or organic beauty brands, I would love to know your recommendations!

EOS Lip Balms | Review

EOS LIP BALMs, eos lip balms uk
Scents: Strawberry Sorbet | Lemon Drop | Summer Fruits | Honeysuckle honeydew

(edit Feb 2014 - Yay! Now you can get EOS lip balms in the UK! They are available from Selfridges)

"Packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil, EOS keeps lips moist, soft and sensationally smooth."

If I was stranded on an island and had to choose one luxury item to bring with me, it would be lip balm and EOS lip balms are pretty much on top of the list! It is the one beauty product that I need! I have got so many different ones because I'm always buying lip balms and I am keen to try new brands, so I couldn't wait to get my hands on the EOS lip balm spheres which have been hyped and praised by American beauty bloggers. The first thing you notice is the shape of them, and the colours of the packaging. It is sturdy and really good quality. I bought the green one (which is a honeydew scent) a couple of months ago and really liked it so I bought three more!

I wanted to blog about them and tell you a little more because I haven't seen any reviews of these on UK blogs and I know some people are intrigued by this product. The brand is currently not available on the UK high street at the moment - I don't know if there are plans to launch it over here - but in the meantime, it can be purchased online through UK-based independently owned beauty stores such as ZunetacutECOsmetics, or even Amazon. EOS have their own website where you can purchase  directly but they are based in America and shipping may cost more.

EOS products are 100% natural and 95% organic, and the lip balms are free from chemicals such as petrolatum and paraben. The feel of these balms itself are smooth and buttery with a matte application and I prefer this kind of lip product. I don't like the glossy lip products like Vaseline, but it always feel greasy and sticky to me, and for some reason, Vaseline dries my skin out even more so once the product has faded throughout the day. EOS is moisturising and keeps lips smooth and it makes you want to apply more on, you might even get addicted to it like I am! The spheres come in seven different scents; strawberry sorbet, lemon drop, summer fruits, honeysuckle honeydew, sweet mint, medicated tangerine and passionfruit, each one in it's own lovely colourful vibrant packaging.

They cost about £4.50 - £5.95 each depending on which retailer you buy from, and they seem to last for ages! The honeydew one hasn't gone down much and I've used it everyday since I bought it a couple of months ago. I don't normally review beauty products, but I really do love this product! It's easy to use, surprisingly easy to hold, I think it's fantastic that it is natural, organic and cruelty-free, and who can resist the unique and bright packaging!

T-Shirt and Grey Blazer Fashion Union / Hat Monki / Cardi Topshop (old)

My second month guest blogging for Fashion Union's Blog - here's the link to the post. There has been sight delay which is entirely my fault for completely losing track of time! Really can't believe it's mid April!

For my next Fashion Union blog post, I chose an outfit of T-Shirt and jeans with a grey blazer. I chose a dress last time, so I thought I'd go for "seperates" this time and challenge myself to see if I've chosen items that would go together as an outfit. The T-Shirt is lovely, I like them baggy so it is the perfect type of fit for me. I will blog about the blazer in a separate blog post because I don't want to overload the post with so many photos. I like to stick to a maximum of 6 images per post if I can (unless something has a lot of details). I also chose one of their coloured skinny jeans to complete the outfit, as I loved them ever since I saw them on their Facebook page and if you're in to the trend of coloured skinny jeans, then Fashion Union have a wide range of them at £20-£25 (bargain!). Unfortunately, they didn't fit my short legs but I am one of those people who find it difficult to find the perfect pair, which is why I only own 2 pairs of jeans. Which brand is your favourite to go to for jeans? And have you bought yourself a pair of coloured jeans this season?

Broderie Lace TopShop Dress

Dress TopShop / Jewellery T:S / Nails Rimmel

This is one of my favourite dresses ever! I know so many other girls who have it too, it's one of those dresses where I just had to have it! it was quite pricy for a high street dress, but you know what Topshop are like! I've made sure that I've worn it a lot to justify the cost. The front bodice of the dress is layered with tiers of pretty broderie anglaise lace and the back is v-shaped with a heavy exposed zip which I think is quite a nice contrast.

Recently, I have developed a love-hate relationship with Topshop because it is becoming out of my price range. I don't mind paying extra if the quality is good... but sometimes the quality is just not there with Topshop garments and I find it hard to part with my money! However, I do find it so reliable in terms of fit and length for short petite girls like myself (under 5ft3) and I admit that it is the first shop I go to when I want to buy new clothes just for the sake of knowing that I'll be able to quickly find something in there that fits me properly. ("Liiiike a glove" as Ace Ventura would say)

Talking of Topshop! I have written my 3rd article for Modern Girl's Guide, and it's about S/S Trend Under The Sea. You can click here or the image below if you'd like to check it out. I struggle to come up with blog posts for MGG last month but I think I'm going to stick to writing what I know best; fashion!
