Contents: Vanitas Versace eau de parfum, Bliss Blood Orange and White Pepper Body Butter, Revive Creme Lustre SPF 30, Lancome Teint Miracle, Clarins Extra Firming Body Cream

Most people have had a lot of opinions on Glossybox's March edition, and there seems to be unhappy subscribers who perhaps see previews and spoilers of what the contents might be and then become dissatisfied upon receiving a different variation of the box. I have to admit that when I saw the Burberry lipstick in some of the previews, I thought it was one of those samples that would be in every box. I was initially disappointed to see I didn't get one....BUT the disappointment lasted about 2 seconds because I just thought "It probably wouldn't have suited me anyway" because it is difficult for me to find lipsticks that suit my skin-tone, and actually, I'm perfectly happy with the lipsticks I've already got anyway! My favourite at the moment is Crosswires and Lusterings from MAC, those are the two that I wear all the time, and if I ever wanted a new lipstick from Burberry, I'll just buy one.

Personally, I am pleased with what I got in the Harrods Edition, I received 3 different types of lotions, foundation and perfume. If I had one complaint, it would be that the perfume is not to my taste but I still think it's lovely packaging and something that I can pass on to someone else! Usually, even when something isn't to my taste - such as lipgloss or face mask, I would try all the samples in the boxes and aim to use it all up. However, I am really picky with fragrance and some will make me nauseous, especially when I'm travelling, for some reason! I just prefer perfume to be quite sweet, fruity and girly.

Glossybox's latest collaboration is very clever marketing and they did well to hype it up. I really like it when they do special editions, such as the Christmas box and the Valentines special. I do think that the dissatisfaction of some customers are due to the different variation of boxes, and it would probably save them the hassle if all boxes were the same but as I always say; Variety is the spice of life! I still enjoy reading beauty box reviews, and it is interesting to see how people react to it each month.

Oscar

Photobucket

A new blog post on Oscar as promised! He's curled up right next to me right now, enjoying the sun shining through! We love Oscar so much, he's practically the king of the castle! He is so well behaved and so lovable, he really gets spoilt rotten (we wouldn't have it any other way!). I have finally joined Pinterest yesterday and when I've become more familiar with it, I will be making lots of cute cat boards, I'm sure! I've already started one!

I get asked what breed Oscar is all the time. He's an exotic shorthair (short hair version of the persian cat) - the same breed as this little Youtube cutie, Pancake. You have to check out the videos of Pancake, he's so cute! My favourite one is the one where he's dressed as a hotdog eating a hotdog!

Just a short post today. I'll be back soon! x

Broderie Anglaise Cut Out Dress

Dress Rare / Jewellery Temporary:Secretary / Shoes Kurt Geiger

Another little black dress to add to my collection - courtesy of Rare Fashion. The middle part of the dress is actually cut out but to make it wearable for the daytime, I've added a black vest which is why the "cut out" part is not so noticeable. I've gone for a brighter rainbow coloured nails as opposed to the pastel ones I've been wearing.

I just want to give Hello Cotton another shout out. I know some of you have joined since the last time I mentioned them, they are becoming a firm favourite with bloggers as it's such a good source to find new blogs. I do go through all the blog posts via Hello Cotton, and I visit all the ones that are following me too.

I'm still on Bloglovin but I've lost my password so I can't log in to follow new blogs. I can't send a reminder to my email either because the email I was registered with has been hacked and hotmail blocked my account! I hate hotmail!! It was so spammy anyway, it was only a matter of time! So sad about it actually because I've had the email since I was 14 years old and I had loads of emails saved on that account, ones from my secondary school days and some from friends who had gone travelling and took time to send me their updates! Really quite mad about it actually! Anyway, here's my Hello Cotton link, and here's where you can find me on Bloglovin.

There hasn't been an Oscar post for ages! Here's a couple of pics to remind you what he looks like! x

In love with Fashion

Jumper inlovewithfashion / Jewellery Temporary:Secretary / Skirt H&M / Sunnies RayBan / Boots Office

So is everyone enjoying the sunshine and brighter days? It's actually quite cold though, isn't it! In this outfit post, I'm wearing my cropped sweater from inlovewithfashion, body con skirt and some "Victorian style" boots! The hat is from a fancy dress shop (it's another hat that doesn't quite fit me! But it was only £2.50 so I decided to keep it). As I've started to take blog photos indoors, the background is a little too plain so I've started to play around with some filters and layer blends to make the photograph more interesting to look at. My outfit posts will still contain the "representational" photographs where there's no fancy effects, but we thought we'd experiment a little bit with a couple of them and try out different styles!

Did you notice something different about the blog? I've got a new header! I was really getting fed up of seeing the old one and I've been wanting to change it but didn't know what I wanted, but I just quickly conjured something up at the weekend and just went with it! Quick and simple!!

Dress Madam Rage / Jewellery Temporary:Secretary / Shoes Topshop / Bag, Hat and Minnie Mouse watch ASOS

I'm wearing all kinds of colours here! A pink and white dress from Madam Rage with pastel green clutch, lilac ballet pumps and multi coloured nails (all Barry M and 17 Cosmetics range) plus, my new favourite accessory... Minnie Mouse watch! It comes in the cutest tin packaging! I had the same one when I was little, so I bought it mainly for nostalgic values!

Madam Rage sent me a couple of dresses from their lovely new collection - they know how crazy I am about dresses! I layered up the necklaces and I did actually go OTT at first! As for the hat; I've been looking for a bowler hat for ages, which I know isn't hard to find but they're either too "tall" or too wide for my head. The bowler hat I'm wearing here is one I bought from ASOS last week but it's too big. Wouldn't be too good if I wore it on a windy day, but I'm not sure if I would even have the confidence to wear it out anyway! I just always seem to buy hats "incase I need them one day"!

I am adding a blog roll sometime this week. It's something I've been meaning to do for months and month! It feels like a daunting task as I have so many favourite blogs and I don't know where to start! But please feel free to leave a comment if you'd like to exchange blog links and we'll get it sorted out! x

Fashion Union: Botanical Print Dress

Dress Motel Rocks from Fashion Union / Jewellery Temporary:Secretary

Last week, I mentioned that I am a guest blogger for a fashion brand called Fashion Union and my first blog post is now live on their blog. I don't usually give suggestions for what to wear with an outfit other than what jewellery or shoes I'm wearing myself, so I thought I would give this a go when I was browsing through Fashion Union's website in attempt to recommend a day time and evening look (as seen below). I love florals but I don't own many dresses with such a sharp print as this and it reminds me of Mary Katrantzou's collection (especially the one she did for TopShop).

I really like putting these images together for the Fashion Union article and I don't think I have done anything like that before. It makes me wish that I did a graphics outcome for my final year at uni. We were allowed to choose a graphics, surface pattern/textiles print or a fashion based project. Some people produced amazing fashion magazines, some took beautiful photography and artwork to produce a book. As I thought I was better at sewing than I was at graphics, I chose the fashion pathway straight away. I didn't enjoy this at all, and I actually hated designing and making the six garments for the collection. I wasn't very confident with graphics back then and lacked imagination but I have improved since I've graduated as I've had to do it as part of my job. Anyway! Hope you like the looks I have put together! x
