Road Trip: Ice Cream Parlour

Our next road trip destination was to a place near Wensleydale (of Wallace and Gromit Wensleydale cheese fame). We went to Brymor Ice Cream. It is literally in the middle of no where! I might go each week until I've tried every single flavour. I had a scoop of banoffee and another of chocolate. Next time, I am going to try the Cinderella! (Caramel flavoured ice cream with pieces of cinder toffee and hazelnut)

Here's what was on the menu the day we went:

I love going there but I wish that the seating area had more of a classic retro feel like this Ice Cream Parlour. It is such a brilliant business with a fantastic product, and as yummy as the ice cream is (IMO, the best in the world!) the seating area feels like a big shed at the moment! Because most people drive for miles and miles to get there, it would be nice if they made it more of an experience for customers. Anyway, after nomming on our ice cream, we went to visit the cows who's milk made the ice cream.

Want to find out where else we've been lately? Check out our road trip posts here. We've had some fab recommendations so far; York, Canterbury, Sheffield, Cornwall, and of course, LONDON! Drop me a comment, and let me know of more great places in the UK to visit! :)

Cat likes stationary too.

Whenever I do a post on Oscar, he gets lots of aww's and ahh's. His recent style post, especially, got a lot of attention! (Am I a little jealous!? Maybe...!) So, because I know you all lurrrve him so much, here's another post dedicated to squishy face. He's been naughty here, knocking over my postcards and standing all over them.

But how can I be mad at him for long with a special face like this!

And since Oscar has so kindly got them out for us (!), I should show you some of the postcards I have recently bought. I collect them. For some reason, I thought these were 10p each, so I freely picked a bunch of them without even thinking about it and I got a bit of shock when I went to pay at checkout! "That'll be £8.00, please" ... "Errr.... you what!" - OOPS!

Easter Bunny

I love bunnies! They're so cute. There are so many around where I live, playing in the field and often by the side of the road :(

So when I saw this, without hesitation, I knew I had to buy it!

Although I wanted to buy it for myself (if only for the awesome kitsch tin!), I decided to buy this for the creative folks at HeroAndCape as their Easter gift. Inside the tin contained a kit of felt, wadding, needle and thread to make a bunny. It also came with a neon pink pencil and a really cute notepad to document your bunny's adventures. So cute! You know I'm CRAZY for stationary, I was so tempted to keep it! I'd definitely prefer one of these than an Easter egg.

I think it looks super cute!

The range of products from WuWu Dumpling Dynasty brand are inspired by old fashioned and vintage Chinese packaging and the brand is very strong and passionate about that. The entire product range reminds me of some of the stuff my grandma's bought back from Hong Kong years and years ago. I want to collect every one of their tins. They have this Baking Kit which I REEAAALLY really want!  It's all so pretty and nostalgic, and the baking kit has even got my name on it. (I'm not just saying that, as I quite often do, to convince myself that it must be mine!) The first character on the pink tin is my surname (Wong) in Chinese. But if I'm going to be slightly sensitive here, I did spot the use of Japanese characters on the bunny tin and the adventures notepad (But I'm just nitpicking here.)

To check out more of the fabulously kitsch products, head over to the WuWu website. You won't regret it!

"Bang On Trend"

This is a style blogpost with a twist. Probably one you 2on't come across everyday! But here's Oscar's Outfit Of The Day (well, his one and only outfit. Unless you count his santa costume as another)

Our little cat Oscar is so fashionable , it's just a pity he doesn't even know it!...)He bought this years ago so he's sooo ahead of the times! And he's almost doing the same pose as the TopShop model. So cute!

Whenever I see a baseball jacket in the shops, I can't help but laugh. Now I bet you'll have a little chuckle to yourself everytime you see one too! :)
